A multipurpose exercise device having a base that rests on a support surface and a user platform upon which the user stands. The lower end of a perpendicular support post is mounted to the base to axially pivot thereon and the upper end of the post is pivotally mounted to the lower surface of the user platform. The user platform pivots with the support post in a horizontal plane parallel to the support surface and pivots on the support post in a vertical plane perpendicular to the horizontal support surface. Resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the support post and the other end mounted to the base to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the horizontal plane. Preferably, a plurality of resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the base and the other end mounted to the user platform to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the vertical plane. In use, the user stands on the user platform and performs exercise motions to propel the user platform to pivot in the horizontal plane and the vertical plane.

The device comprises a support member having a support surface for supporting at least a part of the body of the subject. The support member is provided with at least one sound transducer for generating and transmitting waves through the support surface to the subject's body. The support member comprises, between the at least one sound transducer and the support surface, a layer of material that absorbs physical vibrations while allowing sound waves to pass there through to the subject's body.

Improvements to an ankle holder for an inversion table. The ankle holders are formed of an elastomeric material that is molded onto a rigid backing. The elastomeric material is sufficient durometer to easily conform to the shape of ankles. The backing is secured to a pivoting structure. The ankle holder has a pre-formed shape that approximates the shape and contour of an ankle/heel/foot. The ankle holder can expand and move around the shape of the person to evenly distribute forces caused by inversion of the table. The ankle holders can include a plurality of bladders on the backing to provide structural support to the bladders that enables the bladders to be mounted and secured onto the inversion table. The distance between the gas cushions is adjustable to allow a user to place their ankles within the inversion table and customize the clamping forces.

A bed including a drive leg support including a movable leg holder slidable in a predetermined direction within a predetermined range, a drive means for reciprocally sliding the movable leg holder within a predetermined range, and a driven leg support including the movable leg holder, wherein the sleep induction device oscillates a bed having legs mounted on the drive leg support and the driven leg support by reciprocally oscillated by reciprocally sliding the movable leg holder of the drive leg support.

A patient support apparatus includes a patient support structure, such as a bed frame or mattress or both, that is configured to support a patient in a recumbent position. The patient support structure is configured to provide at least one therapy to a patient. A therapy enabler token is coupleable to the patient support structure. The at least one therapy is disabled when the therapy enabler token is decoupled from the patient support structure and the at least one therapy is enabled in response to the therapy enabler token being coupled to the patient support structure.
