ANATOMICAL SHUOLDER RANGE OF MOTION DEVICE
A shoulder range of motion machine includes a stationary base frame and a shoulder-manipulation mechanism including a movable base frame supported on the stationary base frame for at least pivoting motion about a main vertical axis. A horizontal linear actuator is configured to drive the movable base frame in at least pivoting motion with respect to the stationary base frame about the main vertical axis. A vertical support is mounted on the movable base frame. An arm-carrier support is mounted on the vertical support for at least pivoting motion about a main horizontal axis. An arm-carrier-angle linear actuator is configured to drive the arm-carrier support in at least pivoting motion with respect to the vertical support about the main horizonal axis. An arm carrier is mounted on the arm-carrier support. A controller is operatively connected to at least one of the horizontal linear actuator or the arm-carrier-angle linear actuator.
Reduced friction massage surfaces and exercise equipment
A reduced friction massage and exercise device, which includes a base frame and at least one anchoring arrangement for anchoring a first body part of a user. A reduced friction surface is mounted onto the base frame, and includes a plurality of ball transfer units arranged such that adjacent ball transfer units engage one another. The device further includes at least one cable column including a weight stack. Each of the motion transfer balls is adapted for omnidirectional rotation relative to a corresponding housing element and independently of other the motion transfer balls. The reduced friction surface is adapted to have a second body part of the user placed thereon during performing of a physical activity applying force to the second body part, while reducing friction between the second body part and the surface.
Three-dimensional spine correction robot
A three-dimensional spine correction robot includes: a pillar, a seat, human body fixing belts, a head fixing apparatus, a bracket, pillar casing pipes, a spine lateral push-and-pull apparatus and a seat locking mechanism. The head fixing apparatus is fixed on the top of the bracket. The pillar casing pipes are movably sleeved over the pillar, and each pillar casing pipe is connected to a human body fixing belt. The lower end of the pillar casing pipe is connected to the seat, and the upper end is connected to the pillar. A first elastic connection object is connected between the pillar casing pipes. The spine lateral push-and-pull apparatus may move up and down along the pillar and swing. The seat is connected to the pillar through a bearing, and may move up and down along the pillar. The seat locking mechanism is fixed between the bracket and the seat.
CHAIRS FOR FACILITATING STRETCHING AND ACTIVE PHYSICAL MOVEMENT BY A USER
A chair may include a base defining a vertical axis of the chair, a seat configured to support a user thereon, and a seat support assembly disposed between the base and the seat in the direction of the vertical axis. The seat support assembly may include a height adjustment assembly configured to allow the seat to translate along the vertical axis, and a wobble assembly configured to allow the seat to tilt relative to the vertical axis in a side-to-side direction. The wobble assembly may include a wobble lock having a locked configuration, in which the wobble lock inhibits tilting of the seat relative to the vertical axis in the side-to-side direction, and an unlocked configuration, in which the wobble lock allows tilting of the seat relative to the vertical axis in the side-to-side direction.
JOINT MOVEMENT THERAPY AND ASSISTIVE DEVICE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A joint movement therapy and assistive device system. The system includes a torque profile device having a plurality of connecting components, a longitudinal axis, and a center. Each connecting component of the plurality of connecting components is disposed at a selected distance relative to the center and a selected angle relative to the longitudinal axis. The system also includes at least one segment end and a plurality of tensioning components removable secured to the plurality of connecting components of the torque profile device and the at least one segment end. The plurality of tensioning components forms an additive torque profile when coupled between the torque profile device and the at least one segment end.
Elbow and Forearm Orthosis
There is described an orthosis comprising: a first portion adapted to be secured to an upper arm region of a wearer; a second portion hingedly connected to the first portion and comprising a pair of elongate members spaced apart to extend along opposing sides of a lower arm region of the wearer, each of the elongate members terminate at a distal end adjacent to a wrist of the wearer and being connected by a connecter extending at least partially around the wrist of the wearer; wherein, the distal ends of the elongated members each have a connector element formed therein for facilitating engagement with the wearer's hand so as to maintain the wearer's hand in either a pronated or a supinated position.
PHYSICAL MODALITY TREATMENT CHAIR
A therapeutic chair is disclosed with moving parts that permit a user to implement a regimen of physical modality treatment, including non-axial vertebral decompression, flexion extension, distraction, rotation, and lateral flexion.
Wearable apparatus for assisting muscular strength
A wearable apparatus for assisting muscular strength includes a base secured to a torso, a first rotary link coupled at a first end to the base to be rotatable about a first rotating axis and extending at a second end to a first side of the wearer to be moved forwards or backwards, a first extension link extending at a first end to the first side of the wearer and located at a second end on a wearer's flank, a first connecting part coupled at a first end to the second end of the first rotary link to be rotatable about a second rotating axis, and coupled at a second end to the first end of the first extension link to be rotatable about a third rotating axis, and a first upper-arm fixing part rotatably coupled at a first end to the second end of the first extension link.
Variable arching support for torso flexibility
A stretching and exercising device is beneficial for torso flexibility, having a configurable structure in which the curvature of the platform is adjustable. The platform can be varied in curvature from a substantially flat configuration to a generally semi-circular configuration. The platform is supported by a gear train connected to the platform, wherein the platform has a plurality of discrete parts. An adjustment member having a manually adjustable variable length connects opposite ends of the gear train, so that the curvature of the platform is determined by the adjusted length of the adjustment member.
