Coated fabrics including expandable graphite
A method for preparing a roofing membrane in the form of a roll, comprising the steps of: providing a polymeric membrane; providing a fabric having a coating disposed thereon; attaching the polymeric membrane to the fabric to form a composite; and rolling the composite. Wherein the coating includes expandable graphite dispersed within a binder.
FIRE RESISTANT COMPOSITE ROOFING MEMBRANE
A composite roofing membrane containing a single ply roofing membrane containing a first membrane, a scrim, and a second membrane. The first side of the first membrane forms the upper surface of the composite roofing membrane and contains a thermoplastic polymer. The scrim has a machine and cross-machine direction and contains a yarn or fiber selected from the group consisting of polyester and glass, and a tensile strength in the machine direction is at least about 100 N/cm.sup.2. The second membrane contains a thermoplastic polymer. The composite roofing membrane also contains a fire resistant fleece containing a plurality of FR rayon staple fibers and a plurality of char scaffold fibers selected from the group consisting of partially oxidized acrylonitrile and silica staple fibers.
Coated fabrics including expandable graphite
A coated fabric comprising a fabric substrate and a coating on said substrate, the coating comprising a binder and expandable graphite dispersed throughout the binder.
Base interlining, methods for their manufacture and application thereof
The invention relates to a novel binder system and its use for bonding textile fabrics as well as products containing such bonded textile fabrics. The materials according to the invention are suitable for manufacturing base interlinings which may be used for manufacturing base interlinings for sarking, roofing and sealing membranes, particularly for manufacturing coated sarking, roofing and sealing membranes.
Coated non-woven fabrics from inorganic fibers and functional, decorative layers for floor coverings, ceiling coverings and wall coverings manufactured therefrom
The present invention relates to a non-woven fabric made of inorganic fibers, which has a coating of at least two layers on one of both surfaces, wherein (i) the non-woven fabric made of inorganic fibers has a thickness of at least 0.2 mm, (ii) the first layer of the coating comprises particles, whose particle size is between 50 and 100 m, (iii) the second layer of the coating, which is applied onto the first layer, comprises particles, wherein more than 90% of the particles have a particle size of less than 20 m. The non-woven fabric made of inorganic fibers according to the invention, in particular glass non-woven fabrics, are in particular suitable for producing decorative coatings for floor coverings, ceiling coverings and wall coverings.
Fungal materials
The invention relates to fungal materials comprising fungal biomass, a polysaccharide-based matrix, a plasticiser (e.g. a polyol and/or latex), and an emulsifying agent. The invention also relates to methods of producing said fungal materials, and to uses of said fungal materials.
TARPAULIN HAVING IMPROVED FLEXIBILITY, ADHESION, AND SURFACE STRENGTH AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
The disclosed tarpaulin comprises: a fabric layer, and a resin layer bonded to at least one surface of the fabric layer. The fabric layer comprises: high-density polyethylene (HDPE) multifilament yarns; polypropylene (PP) multifilament yarns arranged to cross the HDPE multifilament yarns; and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) ground yarns binding the HDPE multifilament yarns and the PP multifilament yarns. The resin layer comprises PP and low-density polyethylene (LDPE).
Tile, in particular carpet tile, and covering of such tiles
The invention relates to a tile, in particular a carpet tile. The invention also relates to the use a tile according to the invention as floor tile, wall tile, or ceiling tile. The invention further relates to a tile covering consisting of a plurality of tiles according to the invention. The invention additionally relates to a carpet covering consisting of at least one carpet tile according to the invention.
Durable natural fabric products
A natural fabric or textile product is coated and protected with a waterproofing composition comprising a crosslinking polyvinyl acetate (XPVAc or x-PVAc) emulsion polymer or adhesive applied and cured as a first coating layer or a primer and a coating layer of acrylic, alkyd, asphalt, emulsion polymer isocyanate, epoxy, lacquer, latex, polyurethane, urethane, or vinyl ester coated over the cured crosslinking polyvinyl acetate as a second coating layer or a topcoat. The natural fabric product is fabricated by weaving, knitting or felting the fibers, yarns or threads of vegetable or plant fibers from cotton, sisal, kenaf, hemp, jute, flax, reed, sugarcane, ramie, henequen, raffia, nettle, milkweeds, palm, coir, grass, Spanish moss, New Zealand flax, kapok, sugarcane, bamboo, or wood, or those of the protein fibers from wool, silk, spider threads, sea silk, or the combination thereof.
WATERPROOF MEMBRANE
The invention relates to a waterproof membrane for building applications comprising at least one support carrier and at least one layer of a cross-linked coating composition comprising at least one polyurethane. The invention also relates to a waterproof membrane comprising at least one support carrier and at least one layer of a cross-linked coating composition comprising at least one polyurethane, an optional pre-coating layer to facilitate the manufacturing process, and to join the support carrier with the cross-linked coating composition in the most optimal and durable manner to achieve good surface appearance and chemical bonding between reinforcing carrier and crosslinked polyurethane coating. The waterproof membrane can be prepared and installed with lower cost in comparison to current flat roof waterproofing systems based on liquid two-component polyurethane systems.
