Bedding Foundation Having Multiple Lift Actuators For Massage Effect
A bedding foundation has a linear actuator for moving a roller carriage forward and backwards. The roller carriage includes wheels which move along rails supported below a rigid platform having an opening extending through the platform. The roller carriage includes a lifter which raises and lowers a roller independently of the movement of the linear actuator. Regardless of the position of the linear actuator, the roller may be raised or lowered. The roller moves back and forth inside the opening extending through the rigid platform and imparts a massage movement to a mattress above the foundation.

Described is a self-massage device including a massage board with multiple connected indentations formed along the length of the massage board. The self-massage device also includes one or more massage heads having a top portion formed to contact a portion of a user's body, and a bottom portion having a protrusion formed to be removably inserted into one or more of the connected indentations in the massage board via a pressure mechanism.
Exercise Device
An exercise device useful in the alleviation of posture- and age-related ailments, and being beneficial in the re-alignment, flexibility, and strengthening of the spine of the human torso and the body's skeletal structure, said exercise device comprising a walking staff or walking stick, being of appropriate length, and having a top or proximal end and a bottom or distal end, a protective hand-grip disposed upon the top or proximal end of said walking staff or walking stick, a protective tip disposed upon said bottom or distal end of said walking staff or walking stick, and a protective sheath covering, at minimum, the central or middle portion of said walking staff or walking stick, and an exercise method useful in the alleviation of said posture- and age-related ailments, and being beneficial in the re-alignment, flexibility, and strengthening of the spine and core musculature of the human torso and the body's skeletal structure while simultaneously serving to re-calibrate the user's center of gravity, balance and equilibrium, said method comprising the steps of positioning the elongate walking staff exercise device behind the user's neck and across the user's shoulders to lift user's chest upwardly and away from said user's pelvic region, with said user's arms being extended across said exercise device at the inner part of said user's elbows such that said user's shoulders are raised upwardly and pulled backwardly and the user's torso is lifted upwardly, while said user's forearms and hands extend across said exercise device forwardly of said user's body, and walking with said exercise device in said shoulder-mounted, arms-extended position, said walking motion providing an alternating back-and-forth motion to the user's arms, shoulders and spinal column inherent to said walking motion so as to facilitate subtle and gentle corrections to said spinal column, while stretching and strengthening the muscles of the abdominal area of said user's torso, and shortening and strengthening the muscles of the user's lumbar region of the lower back, said method also comprising the steps of performing a series of torso-twisting regimens while using said elongate walking staff or walking stick wherein an increasing amount of torque is exerted upon the spinal column of the human torso in direct proportion to the position of the user's hands along the length of said elongate walking staff or walking stick.
System for identifying information represented by biological signals
This system for identifying information represented by biological signals is configured so as to detect biological signals (S501), analyze the detected biological signals and then output feature data (S502), determine the respective similarities between the feature data and a plurality of teaching data (S503), store the similarities per time in a time series (S504), and determine information represented by the biological signals on the basis of the plurality of similarities within a prescribed period among the stored similarities in the time series (S505).
Variable arching support for torso flexibility
A stretching and exercising device is beneficial for torso flexibility, having a configurable structure in which the curvature of the platform is adjustable. The platform can be varied in curvature from a substantially flat configuration to a generally semi-circular configuration. The platform is supported by a gear train connected to the platform, wherein the platform has a plurality of discrete parts. An adjustment member having a manually adjustable variable length connects opposite ends of the gear train, so that the curvature of the platform is determined by the adjusted length of the adjustment member.
Posture training device and method of using the same
A posture training device is provided. The posture training device can include a belt with a body contacting portion having a body contact surface extending between a first edge and a second edge, an adjustable and releasable securing mechanism adapted to secure the posture training device around a midsection of a wearer. The posture training device can also include a vertebrae contact portion having a concave surface extending between a first end and a second end, and the concave surface can have a predetermined depth, such that the concave surface is configured to contact and support at least one vertebrae. A method of utilizing the posture training device to train the posture in a person is also provided.
Distractive and mobility-enabling lumbar spinal orthosis devices, systems, and methods for treating mechanical low back pain
The present subject matter relates to orthotic devices, systems, and methods configured to support a lumbar spine. In some embodiments, a lumbar spinal orthosis system includes a torso belt configured to be secured about a torso of a user, a pelvic belt configured to be secured about a pelvis of the user, and a distractive force mechanism connected between the torso belt and the pelvic belt. The distractive force mechanism is configured to generate a force between the torso belt and the pelvic belt acting bi-directionally across a lumbar spine of the user to substantially offload bodyweight of the user passing through the lumbar spine.
Exercise and stretching device
An exercise and stretching device is shown and described. The exercise and stretching device includes a connection cable located through a rigid tube. The rigid tube has a curvature. There are connectors at each end of the connection cable. The connectors are connected to resistance bars. The resistance bars have an aperture located at each end of the bar, wherein an aperture of each bar accepts the connectors. A handle is connected to the aperture opposite the connector.
SPINE REGULARITY ROTATION MOTION DEVICE
A spine regularity rotation motion device includes a T-shaped hanger, a neck traction belt, an n-shaped base, and a horizontal rotary drive platform, wherein the T-shaped hanger is connected to the neck traction belt via a pulling belt at one end, and is connected to the n-shaped base through a main elevating post at another end. A user can rest his face on the neck traction belt, which is gently pulled upwards to increase the space between the cervical joints and align the spine to the center. The horizontal rotary drive platform is provided inside the n-shaped base with a correction seat on the top for the user to sit on. The seat allows the hip of the user to move in a regularity rotation manner that is opposite to the directions of the twisted and/or bent lumbar spine or skewed pelvis. An underarm support is also provided to raise the spine and reduce stacking to facilitate the rehabilitation process.
