ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE DEVICE
20240010177 · 2024-01-11 ·

In an electric parking brake device configured in such a way that a parking brake state resulting from pulling of a brake cable is released by loosening the brake cable, the brake cable is formed by twisting together a plurality of wires and the direction of twisting is rotational direction of the nut when the brake cable is pulled. This makes it possible to reduce an operating sound and to reduce wear of members constituting a rotation restricting device.

The steel cord is composed of a plurality of steel filaments having 3 or more core filaments, at least a part of the surface of each of the plurality of steel filaments is coated with a resin material containing at least an ionomer, and when a resin component contained in the resin material is composed of a single resin, the melting point of the resin material is 150 C. or less, and when the resin component is composed of a composition containing two or more resins, the softening point of the resin material is 150 C. or less.

Rope and method for producing a rope
10760212 · 2020-09-01 · ·

A method for producing a rope, wherein fiber bundles are applied with a liquefied matrix material upstream of and/or at a twisting point to form fiber strands, and are embedded into the liquefied matrix material during stranding, by which fiber strands a fiber core of the rope is formed and wires or wire strands are wound about the fiber core. The matrix material of the fiber strands is hardened after the stranding, and the fiber strands are subsequently stranded directly with one another without further application to form the fiber core. Preferably the fiber strands are heated, during or after the stranding thereof to form the fiber core, so that the matrix material softens at least individual of the fiber strands, preferably all the fiber strands, softens and connects with the matrix material of another of the fiber strands, and is subsequently hardened, forming an integral bond with one another.

Brass-plated steel wire for reinforcing rubber articles

This disclosure is to provide a brass-plated steel wire for reinforcing a rubber article, which is capable of improving the initial adhesiveness, heat-resistant adhesiveness and initial adhesion rate. This disclosure is a brass-plated steel wire for reinforcing a rubber article, wherein: when measured with XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy), an outermost surface contains zinc at an amount of 4.8 atom % or less, phosphorus at an amount of 0.5 atom % or more, and oxygen at an amount of 50 atom % or less; and in the outermost surface, an atomic ratio of copper to zinc is 1 to 6.

BELT COMPRISING STEEL CORDS ADAPTED FOR WEAR DETECTION

A belt containing steel cords, the steel cords containing strands made of steel filaments wherein the largest diameter filaments are at least intermittently positioned at the radially outer side of the steel cord. Such a configuration can be obtained by using steel cord constructions wherein the thickest filaments are positioned outside of the steel cord which is contrary to the current practice. In a further embodiment the largest diameter filaments fill up some or all of the valleys of the strands at their radially outer side. These monofilaments thus have the same lay length and direction as the strands in the steel cord. The advantage of putting the largest filaments at the outside is that they will break first and thus will be readily detectable by electrical, magnetic or visual means. In this way a belt is provided that can be monitored easier and more conveniently than prior art belts.

Pre-stressed concrete structure with galvanized reinforcement

A pre-stressed concrete structure comprises a steel wire or a steel strand. The steel wire or steel strand has been pre-tensioned before curing of the concrete or grout. The steel wire or steel strand is provided with a zinc coating. The zinc coating has a weight ranging between 70 g/m.sup.2 and 950 g/m.sup.2. The steel wire or steel strand has an outer surface that is provided with indentions to provide mechanical anchorage points in the concrete structure. The steel wire or steel strand is further provided with a passivation layer in the form of a metal oxide layer.

STEEL CORD FOR ELASTOMER REINFORCEMENT

A steel cord for the reinforcement of elastomer products such as elevator belts, conveyor belts, synchronous or timing belts or hoses or tyres is presented. The steel cord comprises strands and monofilaments made of steel filaments. The strands themselves are also made of steel filaments twisted together. The strands form the outer layer of the steel cord. The monofilaments are twisted into the cord with the same lay length and direction as the strands and are positioned in the valleys between the strands on the radial outer side of the steel cord. The steel cord has the advantage that it has a better fill factor and a rounder aspect. Furthermore the monofilaments may act as an early wear indicator of the elastomer product.
