Crutch
A crutch includes an arm rest having an elbow end and a front end, the front end defining a front face having a first opening formed therein, and a bottom edge forming a second opening. The crutch has a handle extending outwardly from the front end of the arm rest, but not from the first or second openings. A leg is received into one of the first and second openings in a first configuration, and into the other of the first and second openings in a second configuration. The leg is selectively convertible between the first and second configuration.
ERGONOMIC GRIP AND AXILLA FOR WALKING AID DEVICES
Mobility aid devices, such as crutches, provide improved ergonomics, comfort and support for the user. The crutches can include an axilla support that has a shape with a peak that fits in the center of the user's axilla area, an increased width for the pad area in the peaked region, a feature that curves upward and toward the user's back to prevent forward slippage of the axilla support, and a feature that includes upward curves or widened areas to prevent rearward slippage of the axilla support. The crutches can include a grip that has a wider rear portion when viewed from the top, a downward slope from rear to front, a front area that narrows and twists towards the outside from horizontal, an offset from the centerline of the crutches to the outside and a rear that is rotated outward from the support centerline when viewed from the top.
FRAME CONFIGURATIONS FOR MOBILITY AID DEVICES
Mobility aid devices, such as crutches, provide improved ergonomics, comfort and support for the user. The crutches can include a frame configuration where a main frame member includes a lower adjustment pole extending therefrom and a secondary pole is attached to a lower end of the main pole and extends upward therefrom. An axilla support may be supported by the main pole and the secondary pole. Typically, the axilla support may be supported by upper adjustment poles that adjustably telescope from the tops of the main pole and the secondary pole. The frame configuration, or a conventional frame, may be used in a crutch that can be convertible between a crutch, such as a cuff crutch, and a cane.
LINK SUPPORT FOR WALKING AID DEVICES
Mobility aid devices, such as crutches, provide improved ergonomics, comfort and support for the user. The crutches can include one or more linkage devices that provide a mechanism to link the crutches together and provide restrictions on the range of motion, improving confidence and safety of the crutch devices. A first linkage device can be designed to attach to an upper portion of the crutch frame or at the axilla support to be placed along a user's back. A second linkage device can be designed to wrap about a waist area of a user and attach to a central portion of the crutch frame or at the grip region. The first and second linkages may be used singularly or in combination.

An apparatus for aiding mobility of a user comprises inner and outer shafts each having a grip projecting transversely therefrom. The inner shaft is receivable in the hollow outer shaft and a locking mechanism is provided for securing the inner shaft in fixed relation to the outer shaft in a manner providing a plurality of configurations of the apparatus. Generally speaking, the configurations of the apparatus include a nested configuration in which the inner shaft is substantially entirely received in the outer shaft so as to present the grips in close proximity to one another, and an extended configuration in which the inner shaft projects along an axis of the apparatus beyond a top of the outer shaft so that the grips are in axially spaced relation. The inner and outer shafts may also be separated so that each forms a separate cane for use in one hand of the user.

MOBILITY AIDS AND RELATED METHODS
A mobility aid is provided for use in supporting at least part of a user's body weight. The mobility aid generally includes a leg, a support configured to receive at least part of a forearm of a user's arm, a handle configured to be grasped by the user, and a force distribution member configured to engage a user's side and provide support to the user. The support extends away from the leg and is arranged at an angle with the leg of between about fifteen degrees and about forty-five degrees. The handle extends away from the leg and is arranged at an angle with the leg of between about fifteen degrees and about forty-five degrees. The force distribution member is pivotally coupled to the support such that the mobility aid can be used on either a right side or a left side of the user's body.
Systems and Methods for Transferring Exoskeleton Trajectory Sequences
An exoskeleton trajectory sequence is received with at least one server, and the sequence is transferred to a first device where the sequence is validated. The validation includes a safety check in which a determination is made as to whether the sequence is safe for use with an exoskeleton. The validated sequence, or a confirmation that the sequence is valid, is received from the first device, and the validated sequence is offered for sale, license or lease. In one embodiment, a request for the sequence to be transferred is received from a first exoskeleton user. The sequence is validated and transferred to a second exoskeleton user. In another embodiment, a request for the sequence to be edited is received from an exoskeleton user. The sequence is edited, validated and transferred to the exoskeleton user.

The application describes example of enhanced capability (also referred to as smart) mobility aid devices, such as rollators, wheel-chairs, walkers, crutches, canes and the like, as well as apparatuses, systems, and processes for enhancing the capabilities of mobility aid devices.
