MARINE ROPE HAVING AN INDIVIDUAL COATING OF EACH CORE
The invention concerns the field of marine ropes, and more specifically a marine rope (1) comprising a plurality of cores (2; 2a, 2b), an individual coating (3) around each core (2; 2a, 2b), and a permeable protective sheath (4) around the plurality of cores (2; 2a, 2b). Each core (2; 2a, 2b) comprises a fiber strand or braid and each individual coating (3) is watertight and has a melting temperature lower than that of the corresponding core and an elongation at break greater than that of the corresponding core.

Longitudinal element, in particular for a traction or suspension means
A longitudinal element produced with a core made of high-strength fibers and at least one metal casing, preferably steel, surrounding this core. In this way, there is the significant advantage that these high-strength fibers, which are very lightweight in relation to their strength, are protected in a number of ways, namely against humidity, moisture, UV light and other environmental influences. In addition, the metal casing provides the fibers with protection against transverse loads. In this way, all the high-strength properties of the traction or suspension means are maintained over a sustained period.

Metal cord, metal cord/rubber composite and conveyor belt
The present invention provides a metal cord having better adhesion to rubber compared to a conventional one, as well as a metal cord-rubber composite and a conveyor belt, including the same. In a metal cord (10) composed of a plurality of metal filaments (11) twisted together, the surfaces of the metal filaments (11) constituting the outermost layer are each provided with a zinc plating layer (16), and the degrees of crystal orientation of the (002) plane and the (102) plane of the surface of the zinc plating layer (16) are less than 120.

SMALL DIAMETER FIBER BRAID WITH CENTRAL CORE MEMBER
A cord comprises a braided sheath of strands having an outer surface, an inner surface, and a central hollow portion defined by the inner surface and having a volume and a core within the central hollow portion of the tubular braided sheath, such that when the cord is in a relaxed state the tubular braided sheath has a cylindrical shape and a relaxed volume of the central hollow portion wherein the core does not fill the relaxed volume of the central hollow portion of the tubular braided sheath; when the cord is in a longitudinal tensioned state, the tubular braided sheath elongates under the longitudinal tension such that a tensioned volume of at least a part of the central hollow portion of the tubular braided sheath is less than the relaxed volume; and the inner surface of the tubular braided sheath of tensioned volume contacts and cinches a surface of the core.

Medical hollow tube
A cable includes a sheath, and a coating film covering a circumference of the sheath. The coating film adheres to the sheath. The static friction coefficient of a surface of the coating film is smaller than the static friction coefficient of a surface of the sheath. The adhesion strength between the sheath and the coating film is 0.30 MPa or more.
Elevator load bearing member having a fabric structure
An illustrative example assembly for making an elevator load bearing member includes a fabric having a plurality of fibers arranged with some of the fibers transverse to others of the fibers. A plurality of cords are configured to support a load associated with an elevator car. The cords are included in the fabric and have respective coatings. The coatings include a first coating material and a second coating material, or include different coating thicknesses such that some of the coatings have a different coating thickness than others of the coatings, or the coatings include the first coating material and the second coating material and some of the coatings have a different coating thickness than others of the coatings.
