DEVICE FOR CUTTING HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANES
The present disclosure relates to a device and a process for cutting hollow fiber membranes having a large inner diameter.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING MULTI-HOLE ULTRA SOFT YARNS
The present invention provides a method for successively introducing water soluble fibers into finish fibers (e.g. cotton) to produce a hollow and ultra soft structure, by introducing water soluble slivers into the center of a multi-hole feeder with multiple cotton fiber slivers arranged around the water soluble fiber in a pre-drawing process via a multi-hole sliver feeder. A plurality of these fibers can be drawn together to produces a fiber having multiple water soluble fibers. A cloth, e.g., towel, can be made using the method.
Lithium-selective crown ether, lithium adsorbent using same, and preparation method thereof
Disclosed herein are a novel crown ether with bulky and rigid groups and a method for preparing the same. Also provided are a lithium adsorbent comprising the novel crown ether immobilized onto a nanofiber, and a method for preparing the same. The lithium-selective crown ether is synthesized through intermolecular cyclization between a bulky epoxide and a rigid aromatic compound such as 1,2-dihydroxybenzene, and can effectively recover lithium ions. For use as a lithium adsorbent, the novel crown ether with both bulky and rigid subunits is immobilized onto a polymer nanofiber. The crown ether-immobilized polymer nanofibers may be formed into a recyclable membrane.
NON-WOVEN FABRIC FOR SUPPORTING SOLID ELECTROLYTE, AND SOLID ELECTROLYTE SHEET
The present invention provides a non-woven fabric for supporting a solid electrolyte in which heat-fusible composite fibers with a crimp are contained in an amount of not less than 60 mass % and not more than 100 mass % and are heat-fused, and a solid electrolyte sheet. The non-woven fabric for supporting a solid electrolyte is excellent in process performance, is satisfactorily filled with a solid electrolyte, is suitable for achieving a thin solid electrolyte sheet, and has few hole defects. The solid electrolyte sheet is excellent in self-sustainability and flexibility.
POLYMER YARNS FOR FABRIC STABILITY AND UNIFORMITY, PLIES MANUFACTURED THEREFROM AND ARTICLES COMPRISING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a composite ply comprising fill and warp tows; or optional axial and bias tows; wherein one or more of the fill tows and/or the warp tows or wherein one or more of the optional axial and/or bias tows comprise a polymer yarn while the remaining portion of the fill tows and/or the warp tows or the remaining portion of the bias and/or optional axial tows comprise the polymer yarn; and wherein the polymer yarn is melted to bond to the fill or warp tows to prevent removal from the ply.
BEAUTY CARE PACK AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Provided is a beauty care pack including a release film and a beauty care sheet which is separably attached to the release film, wherein the beauty care sheet comprises: a support; a fiber layer which is laminated on the support and in which water-soluble polymers are formed in the form of a nanofiber web; a moisturizing layer which is laminated on the fiber layer and consists of the water-soluble polymers and moisturizing materials; and a beauty care layer which is laminated on the moisturizing layer and in which the water-soluble polymers and functional materials are formed in the form of a nanofiber web, such that active ingredients are absorbed into the skin while being dissolved by moisture.
Self blooming superomniphobic multifunctional fibers and fabrics
The disclosed subject matter relates to a superomniphobic fiber including a core having a surface and at least one channel and a plurality of nanoparticles disposed in the material core at least partially protruding from the surface of the material core.
DENTAL CORD USING NANOFIBER CONJUGATE YARN, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a dental cord using a nanofiber multiple yarn having a large specific surface area and a large number of three-dimensional pores, thereby effectively impregnating a drug such as a hemostatic agent, and a method of manufacturing the dental cord. The dental cord includes: a nanofiber multiple yarn which is obtained by plying and twisting at least two nanofiber tape yarns and which is impregnated with a drug, wherein the at least two nanofiber tape yarns are integrated by nanofibers made of fiber moldability polymer materials and having an average diameter of less than 1 μm, to thus be formed of a nanofiber web having three-dimensional micropores.
Polymer composite and method of forming same
In accordance with one embodiment, a polymer composite comprises a filler and a matrix. The filler comprises an electrospun polymer mat. The matrix comprises a polymer film. The filler is arranged to respond to stimuli by altering its mechanical properties. In one example, the mat can be electrospun from poly(vinyl alcohol), and the matrix can be formed from ethylene oxide-epichlorohydrin 1:1 copolymer. The filler can be arranged so that the tensile storage modulus of the polymer composite changes in response to the filler being exposed to a stimulus. In another example, the filler is about four percent by weight of the polymer composite.
NONWOVEN FABRIC FORMED FROM POLYVINYL BUTYRAL CONTINUOUS FIBERS, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A web is formed by integrating continuous fibers produced by melt-spinning, at a temperature of 220° C. or lower, polyvinyl butyral pellets having a butyralization degree of 50 to 90 mass %, an MFR of 0.5 to 45 g/10 min at 150° C. and 2.16 kgf, an acid value of 0.12 mgKOH/g or less, and a 1-butanal content of 5 mass ppm or less, to give a meltblown nonwoven fabric or a spunbonded nonwoven fabric having a 1-butanal content of 10 mass ppm or less. The present invention thus provides a nonwoven fabric formed from PVB continuous fibers whose distinct odor is suppressed, and a manufacturing method therefor.
