ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND RUBBER REINFORCING MATERIAL
The present invention relates to an adhesive composition including a latex (A), a polyurethane (B), an amine-based adhesion promoter (C), and a water-containing solvent (G). The composition is eco-friendly, has a low risk of fire, and has excellent adhesive strength.
YARN MAKING METHOD
A yarn making method includes a raw-material yarn; first rollers pulling the raw-material yarn; an entangling point generator subjecting the yarn to jet-forming of entangling points; a cleansing chamber cleansing the yarn that has generated the entangling points; a material chamber provided with a graphene-containing attachment material to be attached to the yarn that has generated the entangling points and has been cleansed; second rollers pulling the yarn that has past the entangling point generator, the cleansing chamber, and the material chamber; a heating chamber having the attachment material secured to the yarn by means of heat-setting; third rollers controlling a heating time of the yarn in the heating chamber; and fourth rollers winding and shaping the processing-completed yarn so as to have the graphene-containing attachment material long preserved in clothing.
POLYMER FILLED POLYOLEFIN FIBER
The present invention relates to a polyolefin fiber comprising polymeric structures, wherein the polymeric structures individually comprise a polycondensate and a functionalized polymer, and the polyolefin fiber is a gel-spun high-performance polyethylene fiber that has a tenacity of at least 1 N/tex. The polymeric structures are immiscible with and dispersed in the polyethylene fiber. The gel-spun high-performance polyethylene fiber is a gel-spun ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber. The present invention further relates to a process for making the polyolefin fiber comprising the steps of: melt-mixing the polycondensate or a polycondensate containing at least one additive, the functionalized polymer, and optionally the thermoplastic polymer and/or the at least one additive, to form polymeric structures; mixing polyolefin powder, the polymeric structures and a solvent to form a mixture; and spinning and drawing the mixture obtained in step ii) to form the polyolefin fiber comprising the polymeric structures.
Flame Resistant Fabrics
Flame resistant fabrics formed with fiber blends that provide the requisite flame and thermal protection but that have improved durability. In some embodiments this is accomplished with the use of fiber blends that include relatively large percentages of FR nylon fibers in combination with cellulosic and inherently flame resistant fibers.
FLAME RETARDANT COMPOSITE ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR REDUCING EXPOSURE TO FLAMES
Described are composite articles containing heat stable spun yarn containing textiles that exhibit low flammability and thermal shrinkage resistance. A composite article is described comprising (1) a textile layer comprising a heat stable spun yarn and (2) a heat reactive layer. The articles can be National Fire Protection Agency (“NFPA”) 2112 compliant.
Protective fabric and process of manufacturing same
A fabric for use in arc and flame protection, and a process for producing a fire resistant fabric are provided. The fabric includes at least 70 wt % aramid fiber; less than 40 wt % modacrylic; 8 wt % nylon; and 2 wt % anti-static. The process includes shredding recycled fire resistant garments into fibers; creating yarn from the shredded fibers; weaving the yarn into fabric; and knitting the yarn to produce new garments. The fabric may be used to produce fire-resistant garments worn by workers in many industries such as the oil and gas.
Fiber-reinforced foam particle molded article and production method therefor
The present invention can provide a fiber-reinforced expanded particle molded article having a reinforcing material fused and integrated with the surface of an expanded molded article, wherein the reinforcing material is a fabric or a braided product produced by weaving a linear composite material produced by melting and integrating a thermoplastic fiber comprising a low-melting component fiber and a high-melting component fiber, as two or more threads selected from the group consisting of a warp, a weft and a slant thread, the fiber-reinforced expanded particle molded article exhibiting an excellent reinforcing effect; and a method for economically producing the molded article by in-mold molding with a small number of steps.
Material, method for producing the material, partially welded material, composite material, and method of producing molded product
To provide a novel material that maintains suppleness which is the advantage of a material using fibers and has a low thermal shrinkage ratio, and a method for producing the material, a partially welded material using the material, a composite material, and a method for producing a molded product. A material including: a first region, a fiber region, and a second region continuously in a thickness direction; the first region and the second region being each independently a resin layer including from 20 to 100 mass % of a thermoplastic resin component and from 80 to 0 mass % of reinforcing fibers; the fiber region including from 20 to 100 mass % of thermoplastic resin fibers and from 80 to 0 mass % of reinforcing fibers; the thermoplastic resin component included in the first region and the thermoplastic resin component included in the second region each independently having a crystallization energy during temperature increase of 2 J/g or greater, measured by differential scanning calorimetry; and the thermoplastic resin fibers included in the fiber region having a crystallization energy during temperature increase of less than 1 J/g, measured by differential scanning calorimetry; wherein the crystallization energy during temperature increase is a value measured by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) in a nitrogen stream while heating is performed from 25° C. to a temperature that is 20° C. higher than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin component or the thermoplastic resin fibers at a temperature increase rate of 10° C./min.
