Despite its small diameter, the braided structure can be creep resistant and abrasion resistant while at the same time exhibiting low elongation, a high load at break, and high stiffness. The braided structure can be used in medical applications such as sutures, load bearing orthopedic applications, artificial tendons/ligaments, fixation devices, actuation cables, components for tissue repair, etc.

POLYOLEFIN PELLET FOR PREPARING FIBER AND FIBER COMPRISING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a polyolefin pellet for preparing a fiber, and a fiber comprising the same. According to the present invention, provided is a polyolefin, which exhibits a high molecular weight range and a narrow molecular weight distribution and in which the formation of a gel deteriorating the quality of a fiber is reduced. Therefore, by using the polyolefin pellet, the present invention exhibits a molecular weight, a density and a narrow molecular weight distribution, which are equivalent to those of conventional polyolefin, but has high tenacity and an excellent drawing characteristic and can be highly oriented because gel formation is reduced, and therefore, the present invention can be applied to various industrial products due to a high draw ratio and crystallinity during a multifilament operation using the same.

PBT AUTOMOTIVE YARN AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF

The present disclosure discloses a high resilience and stain resistant bulked continuous filament yarn. The yarn comprises a plurality of continuous filaments of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), wherein the polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) has intrinsic viscosity in the range of 0.8 to 1.3. The yarn is obtained by a process comprising melt spinning of the plurality of continuous filaments of PBT; extrusion of the plurality of continuous filaments; quenching of the extruded filaments; drawing of the quenched filaments; texturizing of the drawn filaments; cooling of the texturized filaments, overfeeding of the cooled-texturized filaments; and winding of the overfeed filaments with or without tangling for obtaining the high resilience and stain resistant bulked continuous filament yarn. The high resilience and stain resistant bulked continuous filament yarn has a stain resistance rating of more than 3 and a hexapod rating of 2 or more after 12000 cycles.

SPUN YARN, AND YARN AND CLOTH INCLUDING SPUN YARN

A spun yarn that includes at least a first short fiber that is a piezoelectric fiber that generates a potential by applied external energy, and that has a length of 800 mm or less. The spun yarn preferably includes a plurality of short fibers that are twisted together with each other.

A film for conveying in an industrial process, industrial fabrics made from the film, and methods of manufacture. The film has a plurality of protrusions separated by land areas. Each protrusion comprises a top member having opposing lateral edges and is supported by opposed compression resistant first and second end walls, which with at least one of the lateral edges define an aperture extending through the film to provide a flow path. The base edge of each end wall has a configuration selected from at least one of the base edge being convexly curved away from the protrusion body; and each end wall extending below at least a part of each of the first and second lateral edges and being connected to each of the first and second lateral edges. The film structure provides physical properties equivalent to a woven fabric, with improved strength, stability and compression resistance.

STABLE CONDUCTIVE MYOCARDIAL PATCH WITH NEGATIVE POISSON'S RATIO STRUCTURE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

A stable conductive myocardial patch with a negative Poisson's ratio structure is provided. The preparation method includes preparing a myocardial patch substrate with concave polygons as the structural units by weaving or knitting, and then a conductive coating is coated on the surface of the substrate. Alternatively, the yarns can be processed into conductive coated yarns first, and then used as the raw material to weave or knit a stable conductive myocardial patch with a negative Poisson's ratio structure. The prepared myocardial patch has a relative resistance change of less than 5% at 50% tensile strain. When the strain of the structural units is within 50%, the fabric exhibits a negative Poisson's ratio structure, which expands in the perpendicular direction of the tensile load. The fabric exhibits a negative Poisson's ratio effect and anisotropy of Young's modulus, which matches the mechanical behavior of natural myocardium.
