Article of apparel
The present invention is directed toward an article of apparel formed of a textile having a knit structure (e.g., a circular knit structure) including a base strand and an effect strand. The base strand is inelastic. The effect strand, while inelastic, is modified to be resilient. The base strands are inserted at selected course locations within the knit structure. With this configuration, the knit structure possesses stretch and recovery properties. The resulting knit fabric may be utilized to make underwear (e.g., socks), top-weight garments (e.g., T-shirts), etc.
IMPACT RESISTANT, TUBULAR TEXTILE SLEEVE AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
A protective textile sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members against impact and method of constructed thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a plurality of yarns interlaced with one another, with the interlaced yarns forming an elongate, circumferentially continuous, tubular wall extending lengthwise along a longitudinal axis between opposite open ends. At least some of the plurality of yarns include tubular yarn having a central cavity extending along the length of the tubular yarn, thereby providing an impact resistant, dual layered wall to the tubular yarn. The sleeve can be constructed in a weaving, braiding or knitting process, wherein the tubular yarn can be interlaced as a woven yarn, braided yarn, or knit yarn, and further, the tubular yarn can be interlaced as an inserted yarn.
Composite sporting equipment
A sporting equipment is disclosed. The sporting equipment may include a barrel, an action connected to a base end of the barrel, and a stock connected to the action opposite the barrel. At least two of the barrel, the action, and the stock are fabricated from a plurality of fibers.
WEFT KNITTED FABRIC HAVING THICK PORTION AND KNITTING METHOD FOR THE SAME
The knitting method of the present invention includes a thick portion knitting step of forming at least one complete thick portion texture by continuously repeating a thick portion knitting substep n times (n is an integer equal to or larger than 5) while alternating yarn feeding directions, the thick portion knitting substep including feeding a knitting yarn once to a needle row made up of n knitting needles. The thick portion knitting substep performs knit stitch formation and tuck stitch formation on at least one each of the knitting needles and performs miss stitch formation on at least n?3 or more knitting needles.
SLIDING SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A sliding sheet includes a fabric layer is disclosed. The fabric layer includes warp yarns and weft yarns. The warp yarns are interlaced with the weft yarns. The sliding sheet has a first edge extending in a length direction of the sliding sheet. The warp yarns are bent toward a middle portion of the first edge. A method for manufacturing the sliding sheet is also disclosed. An auxiliary yarn is woven with the warp yarns and the weft yarns to form a fabric raw layer. A tension for weaving the auxiliary yarn is adjusted so that the tension of the auxiliary yarn is greater than the tension of the warp yarns, thereby bending the warp yarns in the fabric raw layer toward the auxiliary yarn. The fabric raw layer is heated to fix the shape of yarns, and cut into the fabric layer to form the sliding sheet.
Footwear Including an Adaptable and Adjustable Lacing System
An article of footwear includes an upper and an adjustable lacing system. The adjustable lacing system includes a plurality of fastener engaging elements located at the medial and lateral sides of the upper, where at least one of the medial side and the lateral side includes sets of fastener engaging elements. Each set of fastener engaging elements is distanced from another set in a direction transverse a lengthwise direction of the upper, and the fastener engaging elements are configured to engage with and retain a fastener structure that extends between the medial and lateral sides of the upper such that the fastener structure can be selectively engaged with different sets of fastener engaging elements to adjust a fit of the upper around a width of the foot disposed within the cavity.
Recovery tight with preconfigured compression zones and integrated structure patterns
A recovery tight having preconfigured compression zones with integrated knit structures is provided herein. The compression zones may have differing compressive properties where zones having a higher compression force are located at the calf and ankle areas of the tight, zones having the next highest compression force are located over the knee and lower thigh areas of the tight, and zones having the lowest compression force are located over the upper thigh and lower torso areas of the tight when the tight is worn. The integrated knit structures modify the compressive properties of the zones in the areas where the structures are located in order to further customize the compressive properties of the recovery tight.
SEAMLESS SILHOUETTE WITH ENGINEERED INSULATION PROPERTY
Certain embodiments according to the invention provide seamless insulation articles suitable for a wide variety of uses (e.g., garments, footwear, home textile articles, etc.). In accordance with certain embodiments, the seamless insulation article includes a knit base comprising a first yarn and a second yarn incorporated into a continuous web defined by the first yarn and the second yarn in a predetermined pattern to form a plurality of three-dimensional surfaces. The plurality of three-dimensional surfaces define at least two discrete regions having different contrasting insulative capacities arranged in the predetermined pattern, in which the at least two discrete regions comprise a first discrete region and a second discrete region. The first discrete region comprises a first insulative capacity, the second discrete region comprises a second insulative capacity, and the second insulative capacity is greater than the first insulative capacity.
DOUBLE-SIDED KNITTED FABRIC
A double-sided knitted fabric includes a surface layer and an inner layer, which are connected in a looping manner. The inner layer has a concavo-convex structure, and at least one of the longitudinal and lateral directions of each convex portion unit is composed of 3 to 10 loops. The skin-contact surface of the double-sided knitted fabric has excellent dry performance, has good comfort for wearing, and is especially suitable for production of T-shirts, POLO shirts and the like.
Shoe Upper
A shoe upper for a shoe, in particular a sports shoe, is provided having a first portion and a second portion that are jointly manufactured as a knitted fabric, wherein only one of the first portion and the second portion the knitted fabric is reinforced by a coating of a polymer material applied to the shoe upper.
