LIGHTWEIGHT, PERMEABLE GARMENT FORMED FROM MONOFILAMENT YARNS

Aspects herein relate to a garment that comprises a first knit textile comprising a cell configuration having a knitted perimeter portion and a knitted central portion that is integrally knitted with and enclosed within the knitted perimeter portion. The knitted perimeter portion comprises a first percentage by weight of a first yarn type and a second yarn type. The knitted central portion comprises only the second yarn type. The knitted textile further comprises a second knit textile that is integrally knit with the first knit textile and comprises a plurality of linear knit portions. A first linear knit portion comprises a first percentage by weight of the first yarn type and a second linear knit portion comprises solely the second yarn type. The first linear knit portion of the plurality of linear portions is directly interlooped with a second leaner knit portion.

Knit sock with targeted compression zone
09803300 · 2017-10-31 · ·

A knit sock includes a foot portion having an upper instep area and a lower sole area integrally knit of a body yarn in circumferential courses and axial wales. The lower sole area defines inner and outer arch regions. The inner arch region incorporates a targeted compression zone adapted to reside generally adjacent an inner arch of a wearer's foot. The compression zone includes axially extending compression ridges of variable length spaced apart from a top of the compression zone to a bottom of the compression zone. When the sock is worn, a compression force applied by the foot portion within the targeted compression zone is greater than the compression force in directly adjacent areas of said foot portion.

Seamless ridge reinforced glove

A seamless knitted glove that includes a knitted ridge is disclosed. Methods for forming the glove are disclosed.

TEXTILE SENSOR FOR THE DETECTION OF LIQUIDS AND TEMPERATURE, AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
20220307166 · 2022-09-29 · ·

A textile device for detecting liquids comprising a matrix fabric obtained by knitting, a first non-insulated conductive wire and a second non-insulated conductive wire knitted with the matrix fabric, a source of electric energy connected to the non-insulated conductive wires in order to create a first electric circuit and to have a potential difference between the non-insulated conductive wires, an electrical resistance measuring device configured to measure the electric resistance R in the first electric circuit. The textile device is configured in such a way that, when the non-insulated conductive wires electrically connect by means of a liquid, the electrical resistance measuring system measures a variation of electric resistance R in said first electric circuit. Furthermore, at least one insulated conductive wire is provided connected to a source of electric energy in order to create a second electric circuit.

HIGH FRICTION FASTENING FLAT BRAID

A suture having a contoured surface may include a plurality of first ends having a first diameter and a plurality of second ends having a second diameter. The first and second ends may be braided together, wherein the first diameter is different than the second diameter to form the contoured surface. The first ends and the second ends may braided into a flat braid. In some embodiments, the first ends may comprise a material having a greater coefficient of friction than the second end. A method of securing first and second suture segments is also provided.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL KNITTED MATERIAL
20210388545 · 2021-12-16 ·

The three-dimensional knitted material includes knitted layers that are connected to one another to form a three-dimensional product. Each wale or course in a layer is formed by using an end of a thread that is a continuation of a loop of the preceding course or wale or layer to create at least two loops of the current course or wale in different planes. The loops of the current course or wale are run through at least one loop of a neighboring wale or course or layer of the knitted material. The structural regularity of a knitted material is increased, making it possible to create three-dimensional products having a complex shape, inter alia, having internal cavities, and increasing the filtration properties of the material.

Article with at least one layered pod

In one aspect, the present disclosure provides knitted component comprising with a first surface and a second surface, the first surface facing opposite the second surface. A pod may have the first surface and the second surface, and an edge region may have the first surface and the second surface, where the edge region at least partially demarcates the pod. A first yarn may substantially form the first surface of the pod, where the first yarn is a fusible yarn. A second yarn may substantially form the second surface of the pod, and the second yarn may substantially form the first surface of the edge region.

A knit sock is integrally formed of a body yarn in circumferential courses and axial wales, and includes a foot portion having a heel and a toe, and an ankle portion joined to the foot portion and defining an open leg end of the sock. A first targeted compression zone is formed with the foot portion between the heel and the toe, and includes spaced-apart axial compression ridges extending axially outward from the heel at a first end of the first compression zone to a second end of the first compression zone. A second targeted compression zone is formed with the ankle portion between the heel and the open leg end of the sock, and includes spaced-apart axial compression ridges extending axially outward from the heel at a first end of the second compression zone to a second end of the second compression zone.

Impact resistant, shrinkable braided tubular sleeve and method of construction thereof

A textile sleeve for routing and protecting elongate members and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes an elongate, braided wall having a circumferentially continuous, tubular outer periphery extending along a central axis between opposite open ends. The wall includes shrinkable yarns and non-shrinkable yarns. The shrinkable yarn provides the wall with an ability to be radially contracted from a first, diametrically enlarged assembly state to a second, diametrically shrunken state.
