WOVEN FABRIC FOR BED SHEETS
20180361703 · 2018-12-20 ·

In a woven fabric the warp threads are woven in a weaving pattern in a warp direction of two warp threads up and then one down, adjacent columns in the weaving pattern being offset such that there are no rows in which the weft thread is always up. The warp threads are between 80 s and 100 s and the weft threads are between 60 s and 120 s. There are between 144 to 220 warp threads per inch of fabric and from 60 to 400 weft threads per inch of fabric. This fabric is smooth and soft like satin and durable like percale.

DOUBLE SELECTION FABRIC AND METHODS OF MAKING

A method of manufacturing a double selection fabric including a back layer, a front layer, and least a first and a second blister zone having different physical properties is provided, the method including: inserting in the first blister zone a first inlay yarn between the back layer and the front layer of the double selection fabric, and knitting a second inlay yarn to the back layer, wherein the second inlay yarn is different from the first inlay yarn; inserting in the second blister zone the second inlay yarn between the back layer and the front layer of the double selection fabric, and knitting the first inlay yarn to the back layer; and knitting the first and second inlay yarns to the back layer of the double selection fabric outside of the at least first and second blister zones. Double selection fabrics prepared by the methods are also provided.

BLENDED PADDING

The blended padding of the present disclosure includes a polyester fiber and a water-repellent regenerated cellulose fiber treated in a specific manner. The water-repellent regenerated cellulose fiber contains, for example, a water-repellent rayon, and the polyester fiber contains, for example, at least one fiber selected from the group consisting of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fiber, a polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT) fiber, a polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) fiber, a polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) fiber, a polylactic acid (PLA) fiber, a polycaprolactone (PCL) fiber, and a polybutylene succinate (PBS) fiber.

Heat and flame-resistance materials and upholstered articles incorporating same

A mattress, foundation, or other upholstered sleep product or article includes a core and barrier material surrounding the core. The barrier material includes flame and heat-resistant material that is configured to prevent combustion of the core when the upholstered article is impinged with a gas flame according to California Technical Bulletin 603 of the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs. The barrier material may include an intumescent material that is configured to swell and char in the presence of a flame so as to form a barrier to the flame and to heat generated by the flame.

PROLIFERATED THREAD COUNT OF A WOVEN TEXTILE BY SIMULTANEOUS INSERTION WITHIN A SINGLE INSERTION EVENT OF A LOOM APPARATUS MULTIPLE ADJACENT PARALLEL YARNS DRAWN FROM A MULTI YARN PACKAGE

A method, a device and/or a system of proliferating a thread count of a woven textile by simultaneous insertion within a single insertion event of a loom apparatus. In one or more embodiments, multiple texturized polyester weft yarns of denier between 7 D and 200 D are wound on a single bobbin in a parallel adjacent fashion such that they may be fed into an Sulzer/projectile insertion apparatus to weave a textile that has between 90 to 250 ends per inch cotton warp yarns and between 100 and 1200 polyester weft yarns.

A bedding article has a fabric having a substrate having a surface area. The fabric has a polymeric material that absorbs and desorbs moisture and/or moisture vapor that results in a catalytic action to actively cool the substrate or fabric. The material covers about 40% to about 70% of the surface area of the substrate and as present on the substrate is present at 0.5 to 1.0 grams per square meter.
