Acrylic fiber for artificial hair, and head decoration product including same

An acrylic fiber for artificial hair may include an acrylic copolymer. The acrylic fiber has a fiber cross section including 2 to 4 T-shaped protrusions that extend radially from a central portion. Each of the T-shaped protrusions has an arc-shaped upper side that bulges in a direction away from the central portion. A circumradius of the fiber cross section is 40.0 to 60.0 m. A distance between adjacent end portions of the corresponding upper sides of the adjacent T-shaped protrusions is 3.0 to 60.0 m. An axial width is 10.0 m or more. Torsional rigidity of the acrylic fiber is 0.30 to 2.0 mg.Math.cm.sup.2. The acrylic fiber for artificial hair has high volume, good texture, and good twist processability, and a hair ornament may include the acrylic fiber for artificial hair.

A fiber for artificial hair with low thermal shrinkage, low luster, and excellent spinnability, structured by a resin composition containing a vinyl chloride-based resin and a maleimide-based copolymer, wherein: 50 to 99 mass % of the vinyl chloride-based resin is contained in 100 mass % of the resin composition; 1 to 50 mass % of the maleimide-based copolymer is contained in 100% of the resin composition; and when a total of an aromatic vinyl-based monomer unit, a cyanide vinyl-based monomer unit, an unsaturated acid anhydride monomer unit, and a maleimide-based monomer unit in the maleimide-based copolymer is 100 mass %, the maleimide-based copolymer has 5 to 30 mass % of the maleimide-based monomer unit.

A problem to be solved of the invention is to provide a fiber for artificial hair comprising polyamide, which has a glossy feeling with suppressed luster similar to natural hair, is excellent in persistent antistatic properties, and also excellent in heat-setting properties. The means for solving the problem is a fiber for artificial hair comprising a thermoplastic polyamide and a polymeric antistatic agent having compatibility with the thermoplastic polyamide, wherein the polymeric antistatic agent has a melting point equal to or lower than the melting point of the thermoplastic polyamide.
