Impregnated cloth
A knitted spacer fabric has a tightly knitted bottom layer, a more loosely knitted upper layer and linking fibres extending across the space between the lower and upper faces. Settable material, e.g. cement, is introduced into the space between the upper and lower faces and can be caused to set by the addition of a liquid, e.g. water. Until set, the fabric is flexible and can be shaped but after the material in space has set, the fabric is rigid and can be used as a structural element in a wide range of situations. The bottom layer has an extension that extends beyond the upper face and is connected to the upper face by elastic connecting fibres that draw the extension towards the other face, thereby at least partly closing the space at the edge of the cloth and preventing the settable material from spilling out. In addition, the packing of the settable material and maximum space between the faces are such that only a predetermined amount of liquid can be accommodated within the space and that amount is matched to the water required to set the cement.
TEXTILE MATERIALS CONTAINING DYED POLYPHENYLENE SULFIDE FIBERS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A textile material comprises a plurality of yarns, the yarns containing an intimate blend of dyed polyphenylene sulfide fibers and cellulosic fibers. The dyed polyphenylene sulfide fibers comprising a disperse dye that is distributed substantially evenly across the cross-sectional area of the fibers. A method for dyeing textile materials containing polyphenylene sulfide fibers comprises the steps of (a) providing a textile material comprising yarns which contain an intimate blend of polyphenylene sulfide fibers and cellulosic fibers, (b) providing a dye liquor comprising a liquid medium and a disperse dye, (c) applying the dye liquor to the textile material, (d) heating the textile material under ambient atmosphere to a temperature sufficient to evaporate substantially all of the liquid medium from the textile material, and (e) heating the textile material under ambient atmosphere to a temperature of about 180° C. or more to fix the disperse dye to the polyphenylene sulfide fibers.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING FIBER MOLDED BODY, FIBER MOLDED BODY, SOUND-ABSORBING MATERIAL, VEHICLE INTERIOR MATERIAL AND MICROFIBER
There are provided microfibers that generate less formaldehyde and acetaldehyde and have a favorable fiber openness, a fiber molded body using the microfibers, and a method for producing the same. The method for producing a fiber molded body of the present invention is a method for producing a fiber molded body comprising molding of a fiber mixture, wherein the fiber mixture comprises microfibers, wherein the content of the microfibers in the fiber mixture is 5 mass % or more, wherein, in the microfibers, an amount of an oil adhered is 0.1 to 1 mass %, a total amount of ethylene oxide units and propylene oxide units generated is 0.01 to 0.5 mass %, and a single fiber fineness is 0.01 to 0.5 dtex.
FIBER MOLDED BODY FOR SOUND ABSORBING/SOUND INSULATION MATERIALS
There is provided a fiber molded body for sound absorbing/sound insulation materials, which is lightweight and has excellent sound absorption performance. The fiber molded body for sound absorbing/sound insulation materials of the present invention is a fiber molded body for sound absorbing/sound insulation materials comprising uncolored ultrafine chemical fibers and colored fibers or reclaimed fibers, wherein the single fiber fineness of the ultrafine chemical fibers is 0.01 to 0.5 dtex, the content of the ultrafine chemical fibers is 5 to 70 mass % and the content of the colored fibers or the reclaimed fibers is 20 to 60 mass %, in the fiber molded body for sound absorbing/sound insulation materials.
Vehicle seatback cover and manufacturing method thereof
The present disclosure relates to a manufacturing method of a vehicle seatback cover, comprising a lightweight composite manufacturing step of manufacturing a lightweight composite using a reinforcing fiber and a thermoplastic resin fiber, a lightweight composite forming step of forming the lightweight composite into a vehicle seatback cover shape and preparing a vehicle seatback cover material, and a carpet bonding step of bonding the vehicle seatback cover material and a carpet material.
Braided protective sleeve with heat-shrinkable yarns and method of construction thereof
A protective textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a seamless, tubular braided wall having a plurality of yarns braided with one another. A plurality of the yarns are high temperature, non-heat-shrinkable yarns and a plurality of the yarns are heat-shrinkable yarns, wherein the heat-shrinkable yarns are shrinkable at a temperature that does not cause the high temperature, non-heat-shrinkable yarns to shrink. The sleeve has a first length and first thickness upon being braided, and a second length that less than the first length and a second thickness that is greater than the first thickness upon being exposed to a single heat-treat process.
FLOORING WOVEN FABRIC
Disclosed herein, inter alia, is a flooring woven fabric. The flooring woven fabric includes a fabric layer including bulked continuous filaments (BCFs) having crimp and a polymer resin composition. The fabric layer includes a woven yarn of BCFs and the polymer resin composition is applied on the top portion of the fabric layer such that the polymer resin to form a coating layer. The polymer resin composition of the coating layer may penetrate between the BCFs and yarns made of BCFs. As such, the flooring woven fabric may have improved the wear resistance to strengthen the surface properties and positioning the coating layer to block the penetration of liquid contaminants at the same time, thereby improving the decontamination performance.
Apparatus for manufacturing artificial leather and method of manufacturing artificial leather using the same
The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing artificial leather, the apparatus including an embossing molding device capable of efficiently forming an embossed pattern on the surface of artificial leather through vacuum adsorption molding and a method of manufacturing artificial leather using the apparatus.
