Vehicle speed control device and vehicle equipped with vehicle speed control device
Provided is a vehicle speed control device with respect to which the speed at which a centrifugal brake operates can be easily changed from the outside without disassembling the device. A brake drum 11 is fixed to a vehicle body 101a. A brake shoe 23 rotates around a rotary shaft 20 of the wheel 101c, and reduces the rotation speed of the wheel 101c as a result of coming into contact with an inner circumferential side face of the brake drum 11. A spring 24 prevents contact between the brake drum 11 and the brake shoe 23 when the rotation speed of the wheel 101c is lower than or equal to a predetermined speed, and permits contact between the brake drum 11 and the brake shoe 23 when the rotation speed of the wheel 101c exceeds the predetermined speed. A position change mechanism 25 is installed within the brake drum 11, and changes the position of an end of the spring 24 on one end side. A transmission mechanism 26 transmits a force that is input by an external operation to the position change mechanism 25 and drives the position change mechanism.
Walker apparatus and backrest therefor
There is provided a walker apparatus having a pair of spaced-apart, upright frame members. The walker apparatus includes a seat operatively connected to the upright frame members. The walker apparatus has a backrest cantilevered from the frame members. The backrest has at least one opening extending therethrough for permitting a user's vision past the backrest when the user grips the upright frame members.
Self-propelled walker
An improved walker has a detachable propulsion unit, which is attached to the walker by a platform member which extends forwardly from the propulsion unit, with an upwardly extending walker structure partially attached to the platform member. The user steps onto the propulsion unit while support on either side by the handles of the walker. The platform member is so attached to the propulsion unit as to allow a left section and a right section of the propulsion unit to be independently movable with respect to one another, thereby allowing operation of the propulsion unit. The propulsion unit may be a hover board or power board.
Clean Mate Mobility Aid Task Device
A mobility aid task device comprises a mobility aid, one or more mobile storage disposed in the mobility aid, and a seat disposed in the mobile storage. The mobility aid comprises a crosspiece disposed in a first direction in the mobility aid, a plurality of vertical members including one or more front vertical members and one or more back vertical members wherein the front vertical member is coupled with the back vertical member in a second direction; and a plurality of rotatables coupled with the vertical member at a bottom of the vertical member. A first mobile storage comprises a storage container and a storage cover disposed in the storage container at a level about average standing adult hip height generally parallel to a ground and comprising a seat. Caddies may be fitted in the storage container and removably attached to fixed or removable attachments.
Mobility Assistance Device
A mobility assistance apparatus includes first and second frames positioned on left and right sides of a user; a hinge arm mechanism coupled to the first and second frames; and a securing unit or a walking seat coupled to the frames to transfer at least a portion of the user's body weight from the legs and to transfer weight through the user's hip or pelvis to the first and second frame enabling the user to stand or work for an extended period without requiring the user's arms to hold the frame.
Wrap Around Walking Aid
A wrap around walking aid is configured to assist a human user in walking. The wrap around walking aid comprising has a first rear lower frame and a first front lower frame mechanically coupled to a first upper frame. A back rest is connected to the first rear lower frame. A second rear lower frame and a second front lower frame are mechanically coupled to a second upper frame. The second rear lower frame is further mechanically coupled to the back rest. At least one first fixed front wheel is mechanically coupled to both front lower frames. At least one first castor rear wheel is mechanically coupled to both rear lower frames. The wheels enable a turn radius while the human user is walking forward.
SYSTEM FOR MEASURING DISTANCES TRAVELED BY A MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A system may have a mobile device having at least two wheels and a distance measuring device configured to be removably attached to a frame of the mobile device, which can be a mobility assistance device, such as a walker and a wheelchair. The distance measuring device may have at least a sensing mechanism, an accumulator, and a display that are in communication with one another, with the sensing mechanism configured to monitor rotation of the at least one of the at least two wheels of the mobile device and the accumulator configured to determine the distance traveled by the mobile device based on this rotation and output the distance result on the display.
Walking assist device
A walking assist device has a frame, a plurality of wheels, drive units, a battery, and a drive control unit that controls the drive units. The walking assist device also has: a pair of right and left movable handles that are grasped by a user and movable back and forth with respect to the frame in accordance with arm swing performed during walk of the user; handle guide units provided on the frame to guide the movable handles in a movable range that matches the arm swing performed during walk of the user; and a grasp portion state detection unit that detects the state of the movable handles. The drive control unit controls the travel speed of the walking assist device by controlling the drive units on the basis of the state of the movable handles which is detected using the grasp portion state detection unit.
Safety Walker
A safety walker has a support extension that extends from the front of the moveable support frame toward the back end opening and is centrally located. A user may enter the safety walker and straddle the support extension and the actuate the support extension up to a secure position, whereby in the event of a fall the support extension will support the user. The support extension may be coupled with art actuator system having a motor to raise or pivot the support extension. A safety strap may be attached to the extended end of the support extension and extend above the support extension towards the front of the movable support frame. The safety strap may provide a flexible support that is more comfortable for support in the event of a fall. A gate may be coupled with an actuator system and automatically close as the support extension is lifted.
Knee walker with four-wheel steering
A knee walker with four-wheel steering. The knee walker includes a frame, at least one front axle assembly, at least one rear axle assembly, a kneeling pad assembly, and a steering system. The steering system is configured to turn the rear axle assembly in the opposite direction from the front axle assembly. The opposing angles of the front and rear wheels enable the knee walker to perform tighter turns by eliminating rear wheel drag.
