NAVIGATION METHOD FOR BLIND PERSON AND NAVIGATION DEVICE USING THE NAVIGATION METHOD
A navigation method for blind person and a navigation device using the navigation method are illustrated. The navigation device recognizes images captured around the blind person to determine objects in a road condition, stores the images comprising the road condition and the GPS positions in a database, where the road condition includes a distance between the object and the navigation device along the line of movement of the person, and an azimuth of the detected objects. The navigation device determines the object to be an obstacle or not according to the distance and the azimuth and can output a warning to the blind user as to an obstacle by an output unit.
DYNAMIC VISION ENABLING VISOR
Systems of presenting environmental data include a frequency emitting device, a frequency receiving device, wherein the frequency receiving device is tuned to receive a reflected signal from the frequency emitting device, a processor, and a sound emitting device adapted to play a sound transmission. The processor is programmed to compile data from the reflected signal and convert the data from the reflected signal into a sound transmission.
INFORMATION OUTPUT DEVICE
This application relates to an information output apparatus. The information output apparatus not only improves durability and user convenience but also minimizes power consumption and an operation error of a driving module. The information output apparatus also allows a pin to be driven to be lowered more easily by an attractive force between a magnetic force member and a magnetic member. In addition, the information output apparatus is also provided to prevent the pin from protruding to the outside of an expression surface even when power is not applied.
Line Tracking Cane for the Vision Impaired
Improvements in a line tracking cane for the vision impaired. The cane detects a line and notifies the user with a sound or vibration to indicate that is user is aligned with the line as the user passes the cane back-and-forth over the line. The detector can detect a direction of movement over the line to determine if the tip of the cane has completely passed over the line or has just moved half-way over the line. The cane is rechargeable and has a handle that orients the sensor on the tip of the cane to forward. The handle has an on-off or momentary power button. The cane can be collapsible as a folding cane or a telescoping cane. It is also contemplated that the tracking device can be an adapter for an existing cane to upgrade the functions of pre-existing cane.
Working animal reaction handling
A working animal reaction handling method monitors reactions of a working animal in an environment to conditions of that environment. The method uses an imaging device to obtain images of the environment, the images providing at least a portion of environmental data about the environment. The method ascertains, based at least in part on the environmental data, a cause of a reaction, of the monitored reactions, of the working animal, electronically signals a handler of the working animal with an alert about the ascertained cause of the reaction of the working animal.
WEARABLE GAIT DETECTION DEVICE, WALKING ABILITY IMPROVEMENT SYSTEM AND WEARABLE GAIT DETECTION SYSTEM
A wearable gait detection device, a walking ability improvement system and a wearable gait detection system detect manifestation in a brain based on the wearer's gait and preventive measures. A load measurement part measures a load of a sole of the wearer's feet, a foot movement detection part at the shoes detects acceleration and/or angular velocity during feet movement, a centroid position calculation part calculates a centroid position of the feet based on changes in measured load, a movement locus calculation part calculates a movement locus of the feet based on acceleration and/or angular velocity detected by the foot movement detection part, a manifestation recognition part recognizes manifestation in the brain according to a specificity of centroid fluctuation of the feet based on the calculated centroid position and movement locus of the feet, and a sensory output part feeds back a sensation to the wearer based on a recognition result.
PASSIVE MULTIPLE FOOT SENSOR INSOLE REAL-TIME FEEDBACK DEVICE
A foot sensor feedback device with multiple passive sensors in a shoe insole to provide real time feedback for a microprocessor to control a haptic device on the ankle of a person and to store and display data on an application on a smart phone to provide balance to a person while standing still or walking.
REAL-TIME FEEDBACK MODULE FOR ASSISTIVE GAIT TRAINING, IMPROVED PROPRIOCEPTION, AND FALL PREVENTION
A device providing real-time feedback to users to aid in gait training or other applications where awareness of body position is useful. Embodiments of the device equip patients to regain balance and practice physical therapy exercises in either a clinical setting or at home.
Image processing system for object identification
A device includes a camera and an image processing system. A first identity of a first object represented in a first image is determined. The first image is captured at a first time. A first geographical location of the camera and a second geographical location of the first object are determined at the first time. A second identity of a second object represented in a second image is determined. The second image is captured at a second time. A third geographical location of the camera and a fourth geographical location of the second object is determined at the second time. The first object and the second object are determined to be the same when the first identity matches the second identity and the second geographical location is within a threshold distance of the fourth geographical location. The device generates an output message including information about the first object.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
There is provided an information processing apparatus including a processing unit to set, on a basis of acquired input information, a feedback target range in which an object existing on inside serves as a target to be fed back to a user, in which the processing unit outputs information regarding the set feedback target range to an output unit.
