ADVANCED PROCESSING METHODS TO PRODUCE HIGH PROTEIN FEEDS FROM DRY GRIND CEREAL GRAINS

This disclosure describes methods to separate solids from liquids in a production facility. A process separates components in a defiber process stream by using two or more mechanical devices to separate the solids from the liquids based on density differences. The process produces animal feed products having a protein content ranging from approximately 45% to approximately 64%.

PROCESS FOR TREATING TERRESTRIAL-BASED AND MARINE-BASED BIOMASSES
20230357988 · 2023-11-09 ·

The present invention provides a process for biomasses. The process may include removing residual moisture from the biomass to provide dried biomass. The dried biomass may be subjected to a basic solution. The biomass may then be heated to a temperature of about 130° F. to about 150° F. for about 30 to 50 minutes. The biomass is then subjected to an oxidation agent for about 40 to 90 minutes. The biomass is then separated into a cellulosic pulp and an extract. The resulting pulp may then be subjected to the basic solution and oxidizing agent a second time. For the terrestrial-based biomasses, the resulting product may be separated into a cellulose rich dissolving grade pulp and an extract high in lignin. For the marine-based biomasses, the resulting product may be separated into a cellulosic-rich pulp and an extract high in sodium alginate.

Pulp washer mist eliminator and foam remover system

Method and apparatus for removing liquid from a gas/liquid flow for use in pulp washers, deinking cells, and the like are disclosed. A gas/liquid separator includes a separation chamber with a flow director providing a gas/liquid flow from a receptacle into the separator in a direction causing impingement of entrained liquid particles on a chamber wall such that liquid particles coalesce into liquid droplets that travel downward by the force of gravity to a separated liquid drain and drained outside the receptacle. A tangential flow inlet provides greater impingement than a cyclonic flow introduced at the lower end of the gas/liquid separator in initially directed upwards. Separated liquid could further be taken outside the pulp washer system for further processing or disposal based on the chemical content of the separated liquid.

PROCESS TO OPTIMIZE BROWN STOCK WASHING UNIT OPERATIONS

A method of treating brown stock in a brown stock washing process is provided. The method includes measuring a refractive index of a brown stock; and dosing an additive to the brown stock according to at least the refractive index of the brown stock. A system for controlling dosing of an additive to a brown stock washing process is also provided. The system includes a refractive index measurement device; a controller configured to receive data provided by the refractive index measurement device and transform the data into additive addition output instructions; and an additive delivery unit configured to receive and execute the additive addition output instructions from the controller.
