Forming belt for shaped nonwoven
A forming belt for use in making a nonwoven substrate. The forming belt includes a first surface defining a plane of the first surface and an axis parallel to a longitudinal direction corresponding to a machine direction when in use. A plurality of discrete belt patterns can be ordered in sequential relationship with respect to the longitudinal direction. At least a majority of the plurality of discrete belt patterns can include a discrete belt pattern overall area, a first forming zone having a first pattern of three-dimensional raised elements extending outwardly from the plane of the first surface and a second forming zone having a second pattern of three-dimensional raised elements extending outwardly from the plane of the first surface. The first forming zone can have a first air permeability value and the second forming zone can have a second air permeability value. The first air permeability value can be different from the second air permeability value.
Woven papermaking fabric having machine and cross-machine oriented topography
Disclosed are woven papermaking fabrics having a textured sheet contacting surface with machine and cross-machine direction topography. The machine direction (MD) topography may be imparted by substantially MD oriented protuberances comprising a warp strand supported by a shute strand. The cross-machine direction (CD) topography may be imparted by substantially CD oriented protuberances comprising a shute strand supported by a warp strand. The CD protuberances may extend continuously in the CD and intersect the MD oriented protuberances to form discrete pockets there between. The pockets may have a variety of shapes and size depending on the MD and CD oriented protuberance. In certain instances the pockets may be rectilinear and have a pocket depth greater than 1.0 mm and a pocket angle greater than 28 degrees.
WOVEN STRUCTURED FABRIC WITH CROSSING TWILL LINES
A woven fabric is used in a machine to produce a fiber web. The woven fabric has a machine direction, a cross machine direction, a paper side and a machine side. The paper side is formed by interwoven warp yarns and weft yarns. The paper side contains a plurality of twill lines, each twill line being formed by a plurality of neighboring flotations of warp yarns. The twill lines contain an MD vector component directed in the machine direction and a CD vector component directed in the cross machine direction. At least some twill lines are diagonal twill lines meaning that the CD vector component is unequal to zero. The plurality of diagonal twill lines contains first diagonal twill lines and second diagonal twill lines, the CD vector components of the first diagonal twill lines have an opposite sign to the CD vector components of the second diagonal twill lines.

A cleaning apparatus includes a cleaning roller configured to rotate about a first rotation axis to clean a component to which paper dust is attached, the cleaning roller having a first area and a second area that is adjacent to the first area in a direction along the first rotation axis and to which more paper dust is attached than to the first area, and a remover configured to rotate about a second rotation axis extending in a direction different from the first rotation axis and configured to come in contact with at least a portion of the second area to remove the paper dust from the second area.

A fabric for a web-producing machine, such as a papermaker's machine for producing paper, tissue or board, contains a machine-side and a paper-side. The fabric further contains MD-yarns and CD-yarns interwoven with each other in a predetermined repeat pattern. The MD-yarns 12 have a non-circular cross-section, and a width-to-height aspect ratio of the MD-yarns 12 is greater than 10:1, preferably at least 11:1. Furthermore, a web-producing machine, such as a papermaker's machine for producing paper, tissue or board, contains a fabric of the above described type, where the fabric is preferably applied in a dryer section of the web-producing machine.

A fabric for a web-producing machine, such as a papermaker's machine for producing paper, tissue or board, contains a machine-side and a paper-side.
