METHOD FOR PRODUCING 3D FIBER STRUCTURES
The present disclosure relates to a method (100) for producing 3D fiber structures, the method (100) comprising the steps of: feeding (101) a foamed fiber furnish (2) to an apparatus (1), the apparatus (1) comprising a liquid-permeable substrate means (3) having a first side (4) and an opposing second side (5), a dispenser (6) having an outlet (7), wherein at least one of the dispenser (6) and the substrate means (3) travel with respect to the other. Further comprising the step of dispensing (102), by means of the dispenser (6), a layer (2) of foamed fiber furnish to the first side of said liquid-permeable substrate means (3), wherein the apparatus (1) further comprises at least a reservoir (8) and a first vacuum unit (9) associated with the second side (5) of the liquid-permeable substrate means (3) so to collect fluid discharge from the dispensed layer (2) of foamed fiber furnish. Further comprising the step of applying (103) at least a first dewatering pressure to at least a part of the second side (5) of said substrate means (3).
DEWATERING APPARATUS AND PROCESS
A capillary dewatering apparatus, including a framework with a plurality of apertures, and a flexible member disposed around an exterior surface of the framework, in which an inner surface of the flexible member is in contact with at least a portion of the exterior surface of the framework and in which the flexible member and the framework are not bonded. Also disclosed is a capillary dewatering process using the corresponding apparatus.
Adjustable foil apparatus for paper making machine
An adjustable foil apparatus for use with a paper making machine includes an elongated upper assembly having a forming element positionable relative to a forming fabric of a paper making machine and an elongated base mountable to a paper making machine. The upper assembly being coupled to the base and movable relative thereto for adjusting an overall height of the foil apparatus, the forming element being configured for selective movement toward and away from the forming fabric of a paper making machine. The adjustable foil apparatus including an adjustment mechanism fixed to the base, the adjustment mechanism including a slide bar movable relative to the base along an axis of the base and configured to move the forming element relative to the base and toward and away from the forming fabric.
METHOD AND MACHINE FOR MANUFACTURING PAPER PRODUCTS USING FOURDRINIER FORMING
An improved method for producing paper from pulp includes a plurality of subassemblies arranged in the forming or wet section of a Fourdrinier. The Fourdrinier includes a dewatering table having a plurality of blades that are static and on-the run adjustable in height and/or angle to control orientation of paper fibers in the stock to create a superior quality of paper and improved paper strength characteristics. Gravity and vacuum assisted drainage elements are equipped with on-the-run adjustable angle and height dewatering foil blades starting from a paper dryness of 0.1% and extending all the way to 5% dryness. The result of this process and machine is to improve the paper quality, save fibers and chemicals and fulfill the required paper properties.

Movable foil blade for papermaking on a fourdrinier, including the lead blade on the forming board box
A method for operably adjusting a forming board lead blade of a paper sheet forming machine of the type having a headbox for impinging a jet of slurry from a slice opening of the headbox onto the surface of a porous wire moving continuously in a horizontal machine direction over the forming board.
SEALING SYSTEMS AND RELATED METHODS
Sealing systems and related methods are provided. In this regard, a representative sealing system includes: an elongated seal having a contact surface configured to form an airtight seal with an inner surface of the drum; contact sensor circuitry configured to provide an electrical signal containing information indicative of direct contact between the seal and the inner surface of the drum; and a control actuator configured to direct a flow of lubricant responsive to receiving the information from the contact sensor indicating direct contact such that the flow of lubricant forms a film of lubricant between the contact surface and the inner surface of the drum to prevent direct contact between the seal and the drum.
Sheet-manufacturing device and method for controlling sheet-manufacturing device
A sheet-manufacturing device that manufactures a sheet of which the quality is stable, by controlling airflow to be constant and causing a defibrated state to be constant. A sheet-manufacturing device including a defibrating unit configured to generate a defibrated material by defibrating a defibration object; a temperature acquiring unit configured to acquire a temperature of the defibrating unit; and a control unit configured to change a mass flow rate of the air including the defibrated material transported from the defibrating unit.
