METHOD AND A SYSTEM FOR A YANKEE CYLINDER IN A TISSUE MACHINE
The invention relates to a method and system for improving the application of a coating on a Yankee cylinder (CR) in tissue paper machines. The invention implements a moisture-controlled environment (12) in an area of the exposed Yankee cylinder between the take-off position (TO) and ahead of the transfer position (TP) of the web, i.e. before and/or after the application of a coating with Performance Enhancing Material (PEM), wherein the cooling effect on the Yankee surface is increased by increased evaporation rate of water in the coating or water additionally applied onto the coating.
Nozzle of a Device for Contact - Free Treatment of a Running Fiber Web
A nozzle (10) for contact-free treatment of a running web, having a main frame (11) forming an outer part of the nozzle, and two side chambers (14, 15) on each of the longitudinal sides of the nozzle (10). The side chambers having openings (17A, 17B, 16A, 16B) for the air to blow toward a fiber web. A U-shaped air channel (20), through which the air is lead to the side chambers (14, 15), located between the side chambers (14, 15), having at least one opening (19, 18) on each side wall for leading the air into the side chambers (14, 15). A U-shaped inner part (13) which is movable by a mechanism (12) comprising a screw (21) and bushings (22) to at least partially open and close the opening (18, 19).
Dryer section and method for drying a web of fibrous material, and machine having such a dryer section
A dryer section for drying a web of fibrous material is provided, which has at least one drying unit for reducing the moisture content of the web by means of convection drying. The drying unit has at least one nozzle for applying a drying fluid to the web, at least one discharge device for the moist air produced during convection drying, and transport means for moving the web relative to the drying unit. The drying unit has at least one ultrasonic generator, which is arranged, for excitating vibrations in the drying fluid, in the region of the nozzle in such a manner that the reduction of the moisture content by ultrasound can be supported over the entire width of the web.

Woven papermaking fabric including stabilized weave providing textured contacting surface
The present invention relates to papermaking fabrics useful in the manufacture of paper products, such as tissue paper. Particularly this invention relates to a woven papermaking fabric that includes a stabilized weave providing a textured contacting surface. The woven papermaking fabric includes a plurality of warp and shute filaments woven together to provide at least one protuberance on the web contacting side of the fabric that extends longitudinally over at least five shute filaments. The at least one protuberance is stabilized by including an offset shute float weave pattern configured such that a majority of the shute filaments forming the at least one protuberance are woven in an anti-nesting configuration.

WOVEN PAPERMAKING FABRIC HAVING CONVERGING, DIVERGING OR MERGING TOPOGRAPHY
Provided are woven papermaking fabrics having a web contacting surface having protuberances formed from woven warp and shute filaments. The protuberances, which may be oriented in the machine direction (MD) converge, merge, or diverge and may be arranged to form a pattern. In certain instances, the protuberance may comprise a first MD oriented protuberance having an element angle from about 0.5 to about 15 degrees, a second MD oriented protuberance having an element angle from about −0.5 to about −15 degrees wherein the first and second protuberances converge at a convergence area to form a third MD oriented protuberance having an element angle from about −15 to about 15 degrees.
Soft, low lint, through air dried tissue and method of forming the same
A multi-ply through air dried structured tissue having a bulk softness of less than 10 TS7 and a lint value of 5.0 or less. Each ply of the tissue has a first exterior layer that includes a wet end temporary wet strength additive in an amount of approximately 0.25 kg/ton and a wet end dry strength additive in an amount of approximately 0.25 kg/ton, an interior layer that includes a first wet end additive comprising an ionic surfactant, and a second wet end additive comprising a non-ionic surfactant, and a second exterior layer.
