Trim removal system
An apparatus uses forced air to remove trim from cut sheets during a converting process. The apparatus may include a plurality of wheels, arranged to allow trim to fall between the wheels, and one or more air chambers, configured to propel air toward the sheets as they are conveyed on the wheels in order to remove trim from the sheets. A method may include conveying sheet stock on wheels arranged to allow trim to fall through them, and propelling air toward the sheet stock with air chambers such that trim is removed from the sheet stock by the propelled air.
SHEET MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A sheet manufacturing apparatus includes a crusher unit, a defibrator unit, a second web forming unit, and a shaping unit. The crusher unit coarsely crushes a raw material that contains fibers into coarsely crushed pieces. The defibrator unit defibrates coarsely crushed pieces into defibrated material. The second web forming unit forms a web by accumulating defibrated material. The shaping unit forms a sheet from the web. The crusher unit is positioned vertically below the shaping unit.
Sheet manufacturing apparatus
A sheet manufacturing apparatus includes a crusher unit, a defibrator unit, a second web forming unit, and a shaping unit. The crusher unit coarsely crushes a raw material that contains fibers into coarsely crushed pieces. The defibrator unit defibrates coarsely crushed pieces into defibrated material. The second web forming unit forms a web by accumulating defibrated material. The shaping unit forms a sheet from the web. The crusher unit is positioned vertically below the shaping unit.
Tearing strip of paper for severing a paper web
A paperband tearing strip for severing a paper web that moves from a papermaking plant onto a winding drum. The tearing strip is composed of a paper strip which has two longitudinally running lateral folds along which the paper strip is folded on top of itself. The central strip part in relation to the lateral strip parts has a thickness which is at least 1.5 times greater, and the width of said central strip part is at least one fifth of the width of the paper strip. The widths of the lateral strip parts each are at least one tenth of the width of the central strip part. The central strip part is formed with at least one fold on account of which the central strip part is configured to be at least quadruple-layered.

A deckle board system comprising: (a) one or more deckle boards; (b) one or more shower systems; (c) a stand assembly that supports both the one or more deckle board and the one or more shower systems, the stand assembly including: (i) a vertical stand and (ii) a horizontal stand; and (d) one or more actuators connected to the vertical stand, the horizontal stand, or both; and wherein at least one of the one or more actuators is automated so that the at least one of the one or more actuators actuates the vertical stand, the horizontal stand, or both.
Apparatus and method for cutting a material web
The invention relates to an apparatus and method for cutting a material web in a papermaking machine. The apparatus includes a cutting device, an upper holding device and an upper positioning device. The cutting device is fixed above the upper positioning device on the upper holding device such that it can be moved in the cross-machine direction. The apparatus additionally has an air guide box and the air guide box is fixed above the material web, likewise on the upper holding device. Furthermore, the apparatus has a cutting table fixed to a lower holding device via a first and/or a second lower positioning device. The cutting table is movable substantially vertically with respect to the material web via the first lower positioning device and/or movable in the cross-machine direction via the second lower positioning device.
Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system for correcting posture of folded sheet bundle
A sheet processing apparatus which vertically conveys a sheet and performs sheet processing, the sheet having a folded part at a middle portion thereof and being in a vertical state with the folded part up and an edge part down, and the apparatus including: a supporting section which supports the folded part of the sheet from below; a sandwiching section which sandwiches both sides of the sheet supported by the supporting section; and a control section which controls the sandwiching section to execute a first sandwiching operation of sandwiching the sheet, to release the first sandwiching operation, and thereafter to execute a second sandwiching operation of sandwiching the sheet again.
TEARING STRIP OF PAPER FOR SEVERING A PAPER WEB
A paperband tearing strip for severing a paper web that moves from a papermaking plant onto a winding drum. The tearing strip is composed of a paper strip which has two longitudinally running lateral folds along which the paper strip is folded on top of itself. The central strip part in relation to the lateral strip parts has a thickness which is at least 1.5 times greater, and the width of said central strip part is at least one fifth of the width of the paper strip. APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CUTTING A MATERIAL WEB
The invention relates to an apparatus and method for cutting a material web in a papermaking machine, comprising a cutting device, an upper holding device and an upper positioning device, the cutting device being fixed above the upper positioning device on the upper holding device such that it can be moved in the cross-machine direction, the apparatus additionally having an air guide box and the air guide box being fixed above the material web, likewise on the upper holding device. Furthermore, the apparatus has a cutting table fixed to a lower holding device via a first and/or a second lower positioning device, the cutting table being movable substantially vertically with respect to the material web via the first lower positioning device and/or movable in the cross-machine direction via the second lower positioning device.
