LONG LIFE CERMET COATED CREPING BLADE
A blade for creping a paper web from a Yankee cylinder surface is made of a steel substrate having a thickness of 0.7 mm-2 mm. The steel substrate is covered by a cermet coating that forms a working edge adapted for contact with the surface and a web impact area upon which the web impacts during creping. The cermet coating includes chromium carbides and tungsten carbides in a nickel based metal matrix. The cermet coating has a porosity of <2 volume % and a hardness of >1100 HV.sub.0.3.
Creped fibrous structures
Creped fibrous structures having pillows and knuckles, wherein the creped fibrous structures may exhibit improved knuckle properties, such as Knuckle Roughness Ra, Knuckle Roughness Rq, and Knuckle Creping Frequency and methods for making same are provided, and/or may comprise elongate knuckles comprising discrete pillows and/or elongate pillows between first and second elongate knuckles.
Fibrous structures
A fibrous structure. The structure includes a plurality of semi-continuous knuckles extending from portions of the surface of the fibrous structure in a parallel path, wherein the plurality of semi-continuous knuckles are separated by adjacent semi-continuous pillow regions. Each semi-continuous knuckle comprises a plurality of discrete pillows, the plurality of discrete pillows are arranged in a spaced configuration along the path of each of the semi-continuous knuckle.
Fibrous Structures
A fibrous structure. The structure may include a plurality of continuous or semi-continuous knuckles extending from portions of the surface of the fibrous structure in a parallel path, wherein the plurality of knuckles may be separated by adjacent continuous or semi-continuous pillows. Each knuckle may comprise a plurality of discrete pillows, the plurality of discrete pillows may be arranged in a spaced configuration along the path of each knuckle; alternatively, each pillow may comprise a plurality of discrete knuckles, the plurality of discrete knuckles may be arranged in a spaced configuration along the path of each pillow.
Doctor blade, inking arrangement and use of doctor blade in flexographic printing
A doctor blade (5, 7) for contact with an anilox roller (15) comprises a flat, elongate base element having a thickness of less than about 0.3 mm, which, along a longitudinal region of the doctor blade adapted for contact with said anilox roller, is provided with a coating (43). The coating comprises a metal matrix and at least about 65% by weight of one or more ceramic(s). The coating comprises 0 to 65% by weight of chromium carbide. An inking arrangement comprises an anilox roller and a doctor blade. A doctor blade is used in flexographic printing.
Fibrous structures
Fibrous structures, and more particularly sanitary tissue products containing fibrous structures having a surface exhibiting a three-dimensional (3D) pattern such that the fibrous structure and/or sanitary tissue product exhibits novel properties compared to known fibrous structures and/or sanitary tissue products, and methods for making same are provided.
Elongated component for a manufacturing machine of a fibrous cellulosic web, its use and method for recycling
An elongated planar or profiled component for a manufacturing machine of a fibrous cellulosic web, such as paper, board or tissue web, is at least partially formed from a composite material having a continuous polymer matrix, and reinforcing inorganic fibers embedded in the continuous polymer matrix. The continuous polymer matrix is biodegradable and the reinforcing inorganic fibers are biodegradable glass fibers. A method is disclosed for recycling elongated planar and/or profiled components used for manufacture of a fibrous web.
Wear composites including one or more metal layers
A wear element is disclosed that includes at least two layers of a structural material and at least one layer of a non-solid metal material, wherein the non-solid metal material includes a non-homogenous edge for contacting a roll surface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING DOCTOR BLADE HOLDERS WITH VIBRATION MITIGATION
A self-compensating tube assembly is disclosed for use in a doctor blade holder. The self-compensating tube assembly includes a tube including a membrane that encloses a liquid with a substantially invariable bulk modulus of elasticity, density and viscosity; and chatter responsive for providing any of monitoring means of blade chatter through pressure, damping of blade chatter, and minimizing blade chatter.
