The back massaging apparatus provided in a chair-type massaging machine includes: a massaging mechanism having: left and right paired massaging members each of which is provided with a treatment unit performing a massaging operation; and a drive unit transmitting a massaging operation to the massaging members; and a projection amount variable mechanism which moves the massaging members so that a projection amount of the treatment unit in the back and forth direction is varied.

The roller includes an outer contact skin formed of a plurality of longitudinal stiffeners connected by longitudinally-extending hinge points, the contact skin defining an inner cavity. A collapsible support structure within the contact skin inner cavity is sized to contact and radially support the longitudinal stiffeners in the expanded shape of the contact skin, and is adapted to collapse so that the massage roller converts between a generally cylindrical expanded shape and a collapsed, flattened shape. The support structure may include a series of rigid discs that either pivot or are folded in half to convert the massage roller between its expanded and flat configurations.

The present invention relates to an exercise device having telescoping and locking elements. In an embodiment, the exercising device comprises at least a first center bar, and two second bars telescopically connected to either end of the first center bar. In another embodiment, two third bars are also included that are telescopically connected to the distal ends of the respective second bar. The first center bar may incorporate at least one foam roller circumferentially encircling a middle section of the first bar. The second and third bars are slidably attached to either side of the respective first bar or second bar and are slidably positioned inside the respective second or third bars. The release and locking of the telescoping motion may be actuated by a release switch or rotation of one or more handles of the exercising tool.

In use, the bobbin heats the eyelid and rotates such that a massaging force is exerted on the eyelid perpendicular to the last line. This force can be used to express material from blocked sebaceous glands of the mammalian eyelid. The present invention is directed toward a method for treating disorders of the mammalian eyelid, such as inflammation, using the device of the invention.
