ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION FOR USE IN RELEASE PAPER OR RELEASE FILM
In the present invention, compounding an addition-reaction-curable organopolysiloxane composition with a specific amount of an organopolysiloxane compound that has three or more (meth)acryl groups in the molecule and a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000 or greater yields an organopolysiloxane composition for use in a release paper or release film in which addition reactions can occur using a small amount of platinum family metal catalyst, cured films can be formed having a peeling strength approximating levels encountered in the past, and addition-reaction-prompted curing will proceed even on a base material containing a catalyst-poisoning component.
RE-DISPERSED MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE
Methods of improving the re-dispersibility of dried or at least partially dried microfibrillated cellulose, methods of re-dispersing dried or at least partially dried microfibrillated cellulose, compositions comprising re-dispersed microfibrillated cellulose and the use of re-dispersed microfibrillated cellulose in an article, product or composition; and methods of improving the physical and/or mechanical properties of re-dispersed dried or partially dried microfibrillated cellulose.
Food wrap paper and method of manufacturing same
A method and apparatus for manufacturing food wrap paper. A paper web is formed and its first side is subjected to on-line surface treating by applying barrier material such that a water vapor and grease resistant barrier coating is formed onto the paper web. The forming and on-line surface treating are made so that after the on-line surface treating, the paper web has basis weight of 25.5 g/m.sup.2 to 34 g/m.sup.2 when measured in balance moisture.

METHOD OF PRINTING
A method is disclosed for applying an antibacterial coating onto a substrate having one or more layers of print. In a printing press, one or more layers of print are applied to a substrate in a printing step. A finishing composition is applied over the layers of ink by a finishing stage in a finishing step to form a continuous outer protective layer. The finishing composition is applied to the substrate by a roller. The printing step and the finishing step are performed simultaneously. The finishing composition includes an antibacterial additive.
FIBRE-BASED SUPPORT CONTAINING A LAYER OF A FUNCTIONALIZED WATERSOLUBLE POLYMER, METHOD OF PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF
A cellulose and/or synthetic fibre-based support of which at least one surface is coated with a layer containing at least one water-soluble polymer comprising hydroxyl or primary-secondary amino functional groups, at least some of which have been functionalized beforehand with at least one organic compound comprising at least one epoxy functional group, and at least one R.sup.1 group wherein R.sup.1 is a vinyl functional group or at least one Si(R.sup.2).sub.3 functional group and wherein R.sup.2=hydrogen atom, hydroxyl, alkoxy, alkyl, and combinations thereof.
PROCESS TO MANUFACTURE LOW WEIGHT HIGH QUALITY PAPER FOR USE AS A SUPPORT LAYER OF A RELEASE LINER WITH A BELT ASSEMBLY
The invention relates to manufacturing low weight high quality paper suitable for use as a support layer of a release liner. A paper web is formed from pulp slurry, the moisture content of the paper web is reduced by a press section (PSEC), the paper web is supported by a belt (BELT1) from a first contact point (CP1) in the press section (PSEC) to a first separation point (SP1) in a drying section (DSEC), and the paper web is dried to form paper. The temperature profile of the paper web may be non-decreasing. When supported, the temperature of the paper web of the paper web may be higher than or equal to 56° C. to obtain a paper web having a dry content of at least 40 wt.-% at the first separation point.

HYDROPHOBIC TIPPING PAPER
A smoking article includes a tobacco substrate and a mouthpiece axially aligned in an abutting end to end relationship with the tobacco substrate. Hydrophobic tipping paper is disposed about the mouthpiece. The tipping paper is hydrophobic due to hydrophobic groups covalently bonded to the tipping paper.
