COATED PAPER AND PAPERBOARD STRUCTURES
A coated paper or paperboard structure includes a paper or paperboard substrate and a basecoat applied to the paper or paperboard substrate to yield a basecoat outer surface. The basecoat includes a water-soluble polymer binder and pigment.
INORGANIC MATERIAL COMPOSITION AND UTILITIES THEREOF
Inorganic particulate compositions containing inorganic particles associated with a copolymer of a hydrophilic monomer and a hydrophobic monomer associated with the inorganic particles are provided. The particulate composition satisfies at least one of the following properties: a BET surface area of the inorganic particles is greater than 8 m.sup.2/g, a Hegman value of the inorganic particles is 75 microns or less, and a rate of water loss from the composition upon drying from a moisture level greater than 2% wt % is at least 30% greater than a composition having a corresponding content of a polyacrylate polymer associated with the particles. A method to prepare the composition and formulations for inks, paints, coatings and filled polymeric articles containing the inorganic particulate composition are also provided.

COATING COMPOSITION
An example of a coating composition includes an inorganic pigment, a latex, a cationic fixing agent, and a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of ethopropoxylated polyarylphenol, ethoxylated tristyrylphenol, modified fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers, and combinations thereof. Another example of a coating composition consists essentially of an inorganic pigment, a latex, a cationic fixing agent, a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of ethopropoxylated polyarylphenol, ethoxylated tristyrylphenol, modified fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers, and combinations thereof, and water.
COATING COMPOSITION FOR PACKAGING LINER
An example of a coating composition for a packaging liner includes an inorganic pigment, a latex, polyvinyl alcohol in an amount ranging from greater than 2 dry wt % to about 7 dry wt %, and a fixing agent. The fixing agent is selected from the group consisting of water-soluble mono-valent metallic salts, water-soluble multi-valent metallic salts, and combinations thereof, wherein the metallic salt includes (i) a cation of a metal selected from the group consisting of Group I metals, Group II metals, Group III metals, transition metals, and combinations thereof, and (ii) an anion selected from the group consisting of chloride, propionate, iodide, bromide, nitrate, sulfate, sulfite, phosphate, chlorate, acetate, chlorohydrate, and combinations thereof.
ENHANCED CELLULOSE NANOFIBRILS (CNF)
An enhanced cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) (or enhanced CNF binder), methods of making the enhanced CNF binder, methods of making wet-laid, dry-laid, or molded articles with the enhanced CNF binder by incorporating the enhanced CNF with the furnish in the wet-end of a paper-making process, methods of coating cellulose-based materials, intermediate formed fiber articles, and/or molded articles with the enhanced CNF binder, and cellulose-based articles obtained by all of these methods, wherein the enhanced CNF includes a saccharide fatty acid ester-, glyceride-, fatty acid salt-, natural wax- and/or cellulose crosslinker-(SGF) blend bound to the CNF.
