Packaging material comprising a starch-based barrier coating and coating composition and process for producing the same
A starch-based coating compound for packaging materials, in particular for paper, pasteboard or cardboard, wherein the starch has a molecular weight in the range of 800,000 to 50,000,000 g/mol, preferably in the range of 800,000 to 20,000,000 g/mol. The coating compound is used for surface-sealing packaging materials, to prevent the passage of mineral oil contaminants from the packaging material into packaged goods. The subject disclosure furthermore relates to a multi-layer packaging material, which is produced using the coating compound, and to a method for producing said packaging material.
System for cleaning photo catalytic banknotes
Self-cleaning banknotes are provided using coatings, inks and additives which are photo-active and catalytic to reactions which are effective in breaking up organic contaminants or dirt to allow for the self-cleaning of banknotes by ambient light exposure as well as the cleaning of processed banknotes using equipment with more intense optical excitation, thus increasing their usable life. The invention is usable with all substrates and particularly polymeric substrates such as biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP). The invention further discloses a system which allows a certain class of fitness parameters to cause these banknotes to be redirected to a cleaning module, be revaluated, and then either returned to circulation or rejected and/or destroyed. In addition, inks which are photo-catalytic can be used for extending the life of the banknotes in printed regions.

TEXTILE PRINTING PAPER FOR USE IN PAPER PRINTING METHOD
Provided is a textile printing paper for use in a paper printing method, the textile printing paper being excellent in color development on a printing substrate, transferred unevenness suppressing property and strike-through resistance while satisfying the requirements for adhesiveness of a printed paper to a printing substrate. The textile printing paper comprises a base paper and a glue layer on a surface of the base paper, the base paper having a sizing degree of 10 g/m.sup.2 to 40 g/m.sup.2 as measured according to JIS P 8140:1998.

SOFT HIGH BASIS WEIGHT TISSUE
The present invention provides multi-ply creped tissue products, and in particular embodiments creped wet pressed tissue products, having substantially higher per-ply basis weights, such as from about 20 to about 30 gsm, without the negative effects often associated with higher basis weight. As such, the tissue products are generally soft and flexible, having a softness value (measured as TS7) less than about 12.0 and a Stiffness Index less than about 20. While being soft and flexible, the instant tissue products are durable enough to withstand use, such as having a GMT greater than about 600 g/3″ and a Burst Index greater than about 12.0.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REPRINTING ON PAPER
An enhanced paper for printing, including a substrate, an ablation resistant coating applied to the substrate, wherein the enhanced paper is ablation resistant so that it is not damaged by a light beam that illuminates enhanced paper with a fluence that ablates ink or toner but would damage standard printing paper that is made from cellulose fiber and is non-ablation resistant; and wherein the enhanced paper has physical properties of the standard printing paper for printing with laser printers and ink printers.
