NANOSTRUCTURED FIBROUS MEMBRANES FOR MEMBRANE DISTILLATION
Membranes suitable for use in membrane distillation are provided. Such membranes may include nano-fibrous layers with adjustable pore sizes. The membranes may include a hydrophobic nano fibrous scaffold and a thin hydrophilic protecting layer that can significantly reduce fouling and scaling problems.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYMER FIBERS AND ITS USES THEREOF
A device including one or more nozzles having a tubular fiber spinning needle and method for producing non-toxic polymer fibers and microfibrous and nanofibrous polymer materials made thereof on a small to large scale using a wide range of synthetic polymers and bio-based polymers. The device and method enable continuous in-line production of polymer fibers at a high fiber production rate energy efficiently and safely. The increased polymer fiber production rate is achieved by the at least one nozzle that enables a centrifugal force acting upon the tubular fiber spinning needle causing rotational motion of the tubular fiber spinning needle and higher polymer injection rates per nozzle.
Material deposition device and method of use
A material deposition device includes a solution supply component, a gas supply component, and a co-axial discharge mechanism. The co-axial discharge mechanism includes a solution discharge mechanism, and a gas discharge mechanism co-axial with the solution discharge mechanism. The material deposition device further includes an alignment component that aligns the solution discharge mechanism in a center of the gas discharge mechanism; and an orifice plate with a number of turbulence inducing structures that induce turbulence in gas exiting the gas discharge mechanism.

Making An Oral Care Article Of Manufacture
A process, for example a continuous process, for making an oral care article of manufacture containing a fibrous composition, for example a composite structure, and more particularly to a process for making an oral care article of manufacture containing a fibrous composition, such as a soluble fibrous composition, containing soluble filaments is provided.
Double-flow nozzle
Disclosed is a double-flow nozzle according to the present invention, the double-flow nozzle including: a body portion provided with a space portion defined at an inner side thereof; a first discharge pipe provided at the body portion and discharging a first fluid being supplied to the space portion; and a second discharge pipe discharging a second fluid while being in a state inserted into the first discharge pipe, wherein the first discharge pipe, in a state spaced apart by a predetermined gap from an outer surface of the second discharge pipe, includes a plurality of swirl-generating flow passages spaced apart by a predetermined interval from each other and arranged along a circumferential direction of the second discharge pipe.

NANOFIBER PRODUCTION APPARATUS AND NANOFIBER PRODUCTION METHOD
A nanofiber production apparatus is provided having: a nanofiber generation device equipped with a liquid discharge nozzle for discharging a polymer solution in which a polymer has been dissolved in a solvent, and a hot air discharge nozzle for discharging a high-temperature, high-speed gas at high pressure; and a collection device for suctioning and collecting nanofibers generated by the nanofiber generation device. A flow path suppression means is provided between the nanofiber generation device and the nanofiber collection device, said flow path suppression means causing the nanofibers generated by the nanofiber generation device to float so that the flow of nanofibers generated by the nanofiber generation device do not directly fly straight into the nanofiber collection device.
