In order to provide a fibre guide insert for an opening roller housing, which provides a suitable fibre channel inlet area in a simple way according to the fibres to be processed, there is provision for the fibre channel connection section to be formed on an end face of the insert body and the fibre guide surface running in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the insert body to adjoin the fibre channel connection section. In order to provide an opening roller housing, of which the fibre guide surface adjoining the fibre channel is easily adapted to the specific application, there is provision for the mounting opening to run parallel to the tangent of an opening roller arranged in the opening roller housing interior and the mounting opening to be configured in such a way that an insert body of a fibre guide unit to be pushed into the mounting opening is connected to the fibre channel input with a fibre channel connection section arranged on the insert body on the end face, in which case the insert body is pushed into the mounting opening via an outer opening of the opening roller housing.

A mounting carrier (3) for an opening roller (1) of an open-end spinning device features at least one part of a screw cap (8) comprising multiple positions, by means of which the mounting carrier (3) can be detachably fastened to a base body (2) of the opening roller (1) firmly connected to a drive shaft (6). Furthermore, the mounting carrier (3) features at least one part of a securing device (7). The securing device (7) includes a cover element (15) connected to the mounting carrier (3), by means of which at least one of the positions of the screw cap (8) can be indicated, and/or by means of which the mounting carrier (3) can be secured against unintentional detachment from the base body (2). An opening roller (1) features a base body (2) firmly connected to a drive shaft (6) and a mounting carrier (3) detachably connected to the base body (2) by means of a screw cap (8), whereas the screw cap (8) features multiple positions and, by rotating the mounting carrier (3) relative to the base body (2) around a common axis of rotation (A), can be transferred from a disengaged position (I) through a connecting position (II) into a locking position (III), and back. The second section (11) is closer to the base section (1) than the first section (10). The sign of the gradients dh/db is the same. In a region which extends to a vertical distance of at most of the overall height of the blade section beneath the at least one second portion (11), there no protrusions or indentations cause a gradient sign change on the at least one blade-section side face (5, 6).
