DRAFTING DEVICE, SPINNING STATION AND METHOD
A drafting device for a textile machine, in particular an air-jet spinning machine, wherein the drafting device can have a plurality of roller pairs which can be driven differently from one another. The roller pairs can be designed and arranged to guide a sliver between a top roller and a bottom roller of the roller pairs during their rotational operation in order to stretch the sliver. The drafting device can be designed and configured to carry out a piecing process after the sliver has been severed in the drafting device. In order to optimize a spinning process, it is provided that the drafting device is designed and configured to engage at least two roller pairs via their drive in a defined manner during the piecing process.
Sliver preparation
A drafting system for conveying a sliver to an inlet opening of a vortex chamber of an air-jet spinning device, for a drafting system having an exit roller pair and at least one additional drafting system roller pair and/or apron roller pair. A sliver is supplied at a spinning station of an air-jet spinning machine for the production of a thread to the vortex chamber. The exit roller pair can be driven decoupled from the at least one additional pair of drafting system rollers and/or apron rollers. In the method, the roller pair is driven for combing the sliver end after a spinning interruption at a predetermined combing speed and the at least one stretching mill roller and/or belt roller pair upstream of the starting roller pair is stopped or operated at a holding speed associated with the combing speed, which is at most 10% of the combing speed.

Spinning station of an air-jet spinning machine and method for carrying out a piecing process at such a spinning station
A spinning station of a spinning machine for producing a thread from a sliver. A thread end is taken up by a take-up device and transferred to a preparation device downstream from a vortex chamber of the spinning device, the thread end is subsequently treated in the preparation device and then transferred to the vortex chamber, a drafting system for supplying a sliver to the vortex chamber is powered up, wherein an exit roller pair of the drafting system is accelerated to a predetermined draw-off speed, and the sliver is spun onto the thread end in the vortex chamber and a draw-off device for drawing off the thread spun in the vortex chamber is powered up and accelerated up to the draw-off speed. The speed of the exit roller pair and/or of the draw-off device increases non-linearly and/or approaches the predetermined draw-off speed non-linearly around the end of powering up.
