The main temperature control component adjusts a heater element according to the first heater setting. The heater element is coupled to the heater element inlet. The heater element outlet is coupled to the heater element and the heater element outlet is coupled to the housing outlet. A flexible hose is coupled to the housing outlet.
Capped rim system for a bathtub
A capped bathtub system including a bathing well having a rim extending along a perimeter of an upper part of the bathing well and a rim cap configured to cover the rim. The rim cap includes a first flange that extends partially along an inner surface of the bathing well, a second flange that extends partially along an outer surface of the bathing well, and a cover portion that connects the first flange to the second flange. At least one recess is formed into a portion of the rim that is covered by the rim cap.
Topside control panel and topside control panel system for a bathing unit system and method of operating same
A topside control panel is described for controlling water features in a bathing unit system. The topside control panel comprises a housing having a generally circular housing portion including a display screen and a manually operable actuator positioned about a periphery of the housing portion. A circuit board assembly is positioned in the housing and includes one or more processors programmed for rendering a multi-layer menu driven interface on the display for controlling at least some water features of the bathing unit system, wherein at least one specific menu layer of the multi-layer menu driven interface presents options for controlling the one or more pumps. Navigation through the multi-layer menu driven interface is permitted by using signals triggered at least in part by a combination of displacements of the manually operable actuator to select specific user-selectable options to arrive at the specific menu layer presenting options for controlling the one or more pumps.
SYSTEM FOR WASHING AND TREATING NEWBORN INFANTS
A system for washing and treating infants includes components for keeping an infant under controlled sterile and warm conditions. The system also includes a device for washing the infant, which has a support frame and a flexible laminar element adapted to be secured thereto. The frame and the laminar element define a housing for receiving the infant while he/she is being washed and/or treated. The housing is adapted to be introduced into the washing and treating components and is accessible from outside. The frame has a single-unit structure composed of tubular members made of a medical-grade sterilizable metal or non-metal material.
A SAUNA OPERATIONAL STATE CONTROL SYSTEM
A sauna operational state control system has a controller comprising an I/O interface interfacing a heater, a state controller configurable in a plurality of sauna operational states including standby and heating states and a heater controller which operably controls the heater via the I/O interface. The state controller is configured to receive schedule data, calculate a session start time according to the schedule data, calculate a heating time period, and calculate a heating time period start time according to the session start time and the heating time period. The state controller monitors time and, at the heating time period start time, enters the heating state wherein the heater controller operates the heater. As such, the present state controller allows for time-based anticipatory operational state control of a sauna including ensuring reaching of temperature setpoint parameters.
Pedicure chair assembly with basin for steam bath and heating
A pedicure chair with a basin for receiving a quantity of water therein. An autofill system can be incorporated with the basin to automatically manage spillover. The auto fill system can have a controller, a water supply valve, and a water level sensor. The water level sensor can be a proximity sensor attached externally of the basin. The water level sensor can send a signal to a controller when the water level sensor detects a predetermined water level in the basin. The controller is configured to shut off the water supply to the basin by sending a signal to actuate the water supply valve. A steamer can be used with the pedicure chair to provide heat and a therapeutic steam bath.
METHOD FOR FACILITATING CONTROL OF A BATHING UNIT SYSTEM AND CONTROL PANEL IMPLEMENTING SAME
A method and a control panel are described for facilitating the control of a bathing unit system so that the bathing unit system is caused to transition between operating in accordance with a first operational mode to operating in accordance with a second operational mode. A control signal is generated in response to a unitary user input event performed by a user at a control panel of the bathing unit system, the control signal conveying an ambiance activation command associated with a specific ambience setting, the generation of the control signal comprising selecting the specific ambience setting from a set of ambience settings stored in a memory device. The control signal is then transmitted from the control panel to the controller over a communication link where it is processed to cause the bathing unit system to transition from being in the rest mode to operating in accordance with the specific ambience setting. The method and a control panel may allow simplifying the control of the bathing unit system in order to achieve a desired total effect by allowing a user to cause the bathing unit to operate in accordance with an ambience setting by way of a unitary user input event performed at the control panel.
SPA IMPROVEMENTS
A spa has an insulated cabinet with an uninsulated shell disposed therein. A filter assembly is downstream of a water intake. A heater is downstream of the filter assembly and a pump is downstream of the heater. A diversion line is in fluid line connection with an outlet of the pump. An ozonizor is in fluid communication with the diversion line. The filter assembly is coupled to the diversion line. A data processing system is coupled to the heater, pump, a control panel and a temperature sensor, wherein the data processing system responsive to when the actual temperature of an amount of water in the shell is a magnitude in degrees below a set temperature 1) turns the heater off if it is on or does not turn the heater on if it is already off and 2) turns the pump on if it is off or if it is already running does not turn the pump off.
