A spouting instrument is mounted on the surface side of a bathtub and spouts out water through a first spout port to the bathtub. To a first water supply port of the spouting instrument, water from a water supply source is supplied. The water supplied through the first water supply port flows through a first flow passage to the first spout port. The first flow passage includes a first ejector. The first ejector mixes air into the water flowing from the first water supply port to produce foam and sends the foam to the first spout port.

An occupant-actuated massager for a hydrotherapy vessel. The massager jet has an actuation point at which the occupant applies force to cause the pressurized water to flow therethrough and provide a massage via a shuttle. A valve piston is actuated to open and close based on the application of force to the actuation point. Optionally, a venturi can be used to introduce air into the water flow to provide further massage.

Systems, apparatus and methods for providing air and water to hot tub jets. The present teachings include jet assemblies, manifold assemblies, and related components, as well as methods of assembling hot tubs involving these components. In some cases, the present teachings describe the use of dual extrusion tubing to route air and water through adjacent, connected fluid conduits. In some cases, the present teachings describe a press-and-click method of connecting various components.

A sprayer configured to provide an air-water mixture to a pool or spa. The sprayer includes an outlet module for spraying an air-water mixture into a water cavity of the pool, a suction module for suctioning ambient air into the outlet module, and a connecting pipe that connects the outlet module and the suction module. The sprayer may be concealed within an inflatable chamber of the pool.

A method of purging a whirlpool bathtub includes providing a pump having an off condition and an on condition, the pump configured to circulate water to a basin through a water feed line. The method further includes providing a blower having an off condition and an on condition, the blower configured to provide air to the basin through an air feed line. The method further includes turning the blower to the on condition and the pump to the off condition, and introducing at least a portion of the air from the blower into the water feed line.

An aeration nozzle for spraying water infused with air into an above-ground water cavity defined by a wall, comprising a nozzle body having at least a first internal conical portion including an upstream end and a downstream end, the downstream end being smaller than the upstream end, a water way extending through the nozzle body and the first internal conical portion, an air way extending through the nozzle body, the air way intercepting the water way within the nozzle body downstream of the first internal conical portion, and a check valve disposed along the air way that permits air to be pulled through the air way and into the water way by way of a vacuum force caused by water flowing within the water way through the first internal conical portion and prevents water from entering the air way.

A nozzle can produce bubbles from a liquid saturated with gas desirable in bathing. The nozzle can have a housing forming a first chamber for receiving a liquid. The nozzle can have an intermediate chamber located between the outlet of the first chamber and the inlet of the outflow passage. The nozzle can have a generally cylindrical structure enclosing the outflow passage and having a central longitudinal axis extending into the outlet of the first chamber. The intermediate chamber can have a first wall generally perpendicular to said axis and surrounding the outlet from the first chamber and second wall spaced from said first wall and generally parallel thereto and surrounding the inlet to the outflow passage.

A shower head (40) has a passageway for a flow of pressurized air from a pressurized air supply, via a Venturi (48) having a convergent portion (46), throat (50) and divergent portion (52), to a shower discharge opening (56), and a passageway (58) for a flow of water from a water supply to a water discharge opening (60) in the Venturi. The Venturi is such that, in use, the general direction of the flow of air is turned through a substantial angle in the Venturi. This folding of the Venturi enables a compact configuration of shower head to be provided.

An apparatus including a motor assembly having a motor. A jet assembly coupled to the motor assembly having an inlet and outlet aperture. An impeller configured to rotate causing a first fluid to flow into the inlet aperture and out the outlet aperture. A fluid guider that includes at least one wall member defining a first channel configured to guide the first fluid from the inlet aperture into the cavity. Additionally, the fluid guider includes at least one post defining a second channel extending through the post. The second channel configured to guide the first fluid from the cavity towards the outlet aperture and output the first fluid at an oblique angle with respect to a longitudinal axis of the post. A second fluid channel member configured to provide a second fluid out the outlet aperture. A light source configured to illuminate the first fluid.

A method of purging a whirlpool bathtub includes providing a pump having an off condition and an on condition, the pump configured to circulate water to a basin through a water feed line. The method further includes providing a blower having an off condition and an on condition, the blower configured to provide air to the basin through an air feed line. The method further includes turning the blower to the on condition and the pump to the off condition, and introducing at least a portion of the air from the blower into the water feed line.
