The subject of the invention is a cable wrapping tape, in particular for wrapping cables in motor vehicles. The cable wrapping tape has a tape-like carrier and an adhesive coating on at least one side of the carrier. The carrier consists of a single woven layer. Moreover, the warp threads and weft threads of the carrier have different finenesses. The weft threads have a fineness of more than 200 dtex, while the weft threads have a fineness of 40 dtex to 100 dtex. According to the invention, the warp threads are formed with a high tensile strength and have a fineness-related highest tensile strength of more than 500 cN/dtex, in particular of more than 8 cN/dtex.

Stab and ballistic resistant articles and the process of making

Dimensionally stable open woven fabrics formed from a plurality of high tenacity warp elongate bodies interwoven and bonded with a plurality of transversely disposed, high tenacity weft elongate bodies, composite articles formed therefrom, and to a continuous process for forming the composite articles.

Abrasion resistant textile sleeve, improved multifilament yarn therefor and methods of construction thereof

A textile sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member against abrasion and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve includes a flexible wall having a plurality of yarns interlaced with one another. At least some of the plurality of yarns are provided as improved multifilament yarns having low-melt filaments and non-low-melt filaments. The low-melt filaments have a first melt temperature and the non-low-melt filaments having a second melt temperature, with the second melt temperature being greater than the first melt temperature. The low-melt filaments are bonded with the non-low-melt filaments to prevent relative sliding movement therebetween.

Spike Resistant Package and Article

A spike resistant package containing a pouch, a first grouping of spike resistant textile layers, and a slip layer. The first grouping of spike resistant textile layers contains a plurality of spike resistant textile layers, where each spike resistant textile layer contains a plurality of interwoven yarns or fibers having a tenacity of about 14 or more grams per denier. The slip layer is a woven or knit fabric containing a main portion and a first pile portion on the upper surface of the main portion. The slip layer contains a plurality of yarns knitted or woven together and a plurality of holes between the yarns. The holes of the slip layer have an average max hole size of less than about 2 mm. The yarns and fibers in the pile portion are in loops or strands extending outward from the main portion of the slip layer.

FILTER ELEMENT

A spike resistant package containing a pouch, a first grouping of spike resistant textile layers, and a slip layer. Each of the textile layers within the first grouping of textile layers contains a plurality of interwoven yarns or fibers having a tenacity of about 5 or more grams per denier. At least a portion of the spike resistant textile layers comprise about 10 wt. % or less, based on the total weight of the spike resistant textile layer, of a coating comprising a plurality of particles having a diameter of about 20 m or less on at least one of the surfaces of the spike resistant textile layer. The slip layer has a stiffness of less than about 0.01 N-m and a static coefficient of friction (COF) between the slip layer and the second side of the first grouping of less than about 0.40. The pouch encapsulates the grouping of textile layers and slip layer. An article containing the package is also described.

Non-kinking self-wrapping woven sleeve and method of construction thereof

A wrappable textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The wrappable textile sleeve includes an elongate wall extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends with lengthwise extending edges extending parallel or substantially parallel with the longitudinal axis between the opposite ends. The wall is woven from lengthwise extending warp yarns and circumferentially extending weft yarns. The weft yarns form a plurality of discrete annular bands, with adjacent bands having weft yarns of different diameters to provide the wall with discrete enhanced hoop strength regions and with discrete enhanced flexibility regions, where the enhanced hoop strength and enhanced flexibility regions alternate in adjacent relation with one another.
