FRP tubular body and method for manufacturing FRP tubular body

A FRP tubular body includes a tubular fiber structure formed by winding a reinforced fiber sheet made of fabric. The reinforced fiber sheet includes first reinforced fiber bundles arranged such that a yarn main axis direction extends in a circumferential direction of the fiber structure and second reinforced fiber bundles arranged such that a yarn main axis direction extends in an axial direction of the fiber structure. The reinforced fiber sheet includes a starting end, a finishing end, and a general portion located between the starting end and the finishing end. The general portion includes the first reinforced fiber bundles and the second reinforced fiber bundles. At least one of the starting end or the finishing end is a decreased portion that is smaller than the general portion in an amount of reinforced fibers per unit length in the circumferential direction of the fiber structure.

The invention relates to a fabric for electromagnetic shielding having a weave of interlaced weft threads (2) and warp threads (3). In addition, the warp threads (3) are conductive and include multi-filament or mono-filament textile conductors associated with metal strands and at least one conductive warp thread (4) is inserted into a weft such as to create equipotential bonding perpendicular to the direction of the warp threads (3).

Garments with finishing patterns created by laser and neural network

Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. A technique includes using machine learning to create or extract a laser input file for wear pattern from an existing garment. Machine learning can be by a generative adversarial network, having generative and discriminative neural nets. The generative adversarial network is trained and then used to create a model. This model is used generate the laser input file from an image of the existing garment with the finishing pattern. With this laser input file, a laser can re-create the wear pattern from the existing garment onto a new garment.

Elevator suspension and/or driving assembly having at least one traction surface comprising exposed weave fibers

An exemplary elongated elevator load bearing member includes a plurality of tension elements that extend along a length of the load bearing member. A plurality of weave fibers transverse to the tension elements are woven with the tension elements such that the weave fibers maintain a desired spacing and alignment of the tension elements relative to each other. The weave fibers at least partially cover the tension elements. The weave fibers are exposed and establish an exterior, traction surface of the load bearing member.
