TEXTILES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

Various aspects disclosed relate to structure such as a textile, a garment, a garment component, footwear, or a footwear component. The present disclosure includes the structure having a first region having one of more first fibers. An individual first fiber includes co-extruded first and second filaments, the first filament formed of a first thermoplastic polymeric material. Due to expansion or contraction of the one or more first fibers, the first region contracts or expands on a change in relative humidity, relative to an equilibrium state of the first region prior to the change in relative humidity.

SPRING-WOVEN FABRIC, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR, FLEXIBLE ACTUATOR USING SAME, WEARABLE ROBOT COMPRISING FLEXIBLE ACTUATOR, AND MASSAGE DEVICE COMPRISING FLEXIBLE ACTUATOR

In a spring-woven fabric, a manufacturing method for the spring-woven fabric, a flexible actuator using the spring-woven fabric, a wearable robot comprising the flexible actuator, and a massage device comprising the flexible actuator, the spring-woven fabric is configured to be contracted or relaxed by external power supply. The fabric includes a thermal response drive element and a wire. The thermal response drive element has a spring shape, and is configured to function as one of a warp and a weft. The wire is configured to function as the remaining of the warp and the weft.

Woven Material

Disclosed is a woven material, comprising alternating regions of plain weave and twill weave. A thick yarn, such as chenille yarn, is woven through a plain weave base in a twill weave pattern The woven material is able to maintain dimensional stability even after undergoing multiple wash and dry cycles, and is appropriate for use in a variety of applications, such as to be made into rugs.

SOUND ABSORBING DEVICES AND ACOUSTIC RESONATORS DECORATED WITH FABRIC

A sound absorbing device includes an acoustic resonator with an opening and at least one fabric layer extending across the opening. The at least one fabric layer includes reversible actuatable liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) fibers such that an average pore size of the at least one fabric layer increases with decreasing temperature and decreases with increasing temperature. The sound absorbing device also includes at least one of a heater configured to heat the at least one fabric layer such that the average pore size of the at least one fabric decreases and a cooler configured to cool the at least one fabric layer such that the average pore size of the at least one fabric increases. And in some variations a controller configured to command the heater to heat to the at least one fabric layer and command the cooler to cool the at least one fabric layer is included.

WOVEN FABRIC, GARMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE WOVEN FABRIC

A woven fabric may include a base weave having base warp yarns and base weft yarns, a loop weave having anchor yarns and loop yarns extending orthogonal to the anchor yarns. Each anchor yarn may include under portion(s) extending on the back of the base warp yam(s) or weft yarn(s) and two over portions confining the anchor yarn under portion(s) and connecting it with the base weave by extending on the front of the base warp yarn(s) or weft yarn(s). Each loop yarn may include under portion(s) extending on the back of the anchor yarn(s) and two over portions confining the loop yarn under portion(s) and extending on the front of the anchor yarn(s). The anchor yam under portion(s) and loop yarn under portion(s) may extend in between their confining over portions on the back of at least five yarns.

PAPERMAKING FABRIC INCLUDING TEXTURED CONTACTING SURFACE
20190360152 · 2019-11-28 ·

Provided are woven papermaking fabrics useful in the manufacture of tissue products, particularly through-air dried tissue products. The fabrics generally have a plurality of protuberances disposed on the web contacting surfaces. The protuberances are formed from a plurality warp filaments interwoven with a plurality of shute filaments and have a hollow interior pocket, which is generally bounded by the warp and shute filaments. By providing protuberances with hollow interior pockets the air permeability of the resulting woven papermaking fabric may be improved, and in certain instances may be increased, relative to similar fabrics having protuberances that are non-hollow.

Towel cloth
