Stabilization of looped fabric surfaces by fine-scale embossing
A fabric made of yarns interlooping with each other or passing through an inner layer at looping intervals. The fabric is embossed with a micro-pattern extending into the yarns or into a layer underneath the fabric. The micro-pattern contains a pre-defined pattern of a plurality of binding points attaching the yarns to the inner layer or to the added underlayer. This micro-pattern has an inter-point spacing between adjacent binding points that is less than the interlooping intervals. The fabric can also be embossed with a macro-pattern separate from and coarser than the micro-pattern. The macro-pattern establishes a desired aesthetic in the fabric, and the micro-pattern does not interfere with the desired aesthetic.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR REDUCED WEIGHT TERRY CLOTH TOWEL WITH SINGLE-SIDED PILE LOOPS
A towel has pile loops on only one side. The towel further includes at least one weft yarn including wood pulp fiber yarn, at least one ground warp yarn including wood pulp fiber yarn, and at least one pile loop yarn including cotton yarn.

GARMENT HAVING AT LEAST ONE BREATHABLE REGION
In a garment a breathable effect in breathable regions can be obtained despite a lack of direct contact with the skin of a wearer. The textile layer has at least one breathable region at a distance from the wearer's skin when the garment is worn, in which breathable region a plurality of thread tentacles, each designed in a single piece as an open loop, are brought out of individual second threads into the textile layer in such a way that each thread tentacle has two tentacle sections pointing away from the inner side of the textile layer and one central section extending along on the outer side. The tentacle sections of the thread tentacles can, when the garment is worn, be brought into direct contact with the surface of the wearer's skin, while the inner side of the textile layer remains at a distance from the skin surface in the region of the breathable region.

KNITTING YARN AND METHOD OF FORMING A KNITTED PRODUCT
A knitting yarn used for forming a knitted product without using any knitting tools, such as crochet hooks or knitting needles. The knitting yarn includes a core thread having a length dimension and a plurality of loops affixed to the core thread, at least a first thread and at least a second thread having different structural and/or physical properties than each other; and the loops of the knitting yarn are made of the first thread, and the core thread is made of the second thread.

Sock
A conventional sock, in which a pile yarn knitted into loops together with a polyurethane yarn has cushioning properties, but has a problem in that it cannot be used for a long period of time. According to the present invention, a first component yarn 15a composed of two yarns, namely, a woolly nylon yarn 13a and a cotton yarn 14a, and a second component yarn 15b composed of two yarns, namely, a woolly nylon yarn 13b and a cotton yarn 14b, are alternately knitted into float loops every 10 loops. Accordingly, the cotton yarns that are less stretchable appear on the surface, and thus cushioning properties can be improved. Also, the yarn strength can be increased by the woolly nylon yarns that are highly stretchable, and also the strength can be further increased by using the component yarns each composed of two yarns: a woolly nylon yarn; and a cotton yarn. Accordingly, the obtained sock can be used for a long period of time.
