Metal alloy knit fabric for high temperature insulating materials

Metal alloy knit fabrics, thermal protective members formed therefrom and their methods of construction are disclosed. This unique capability to knit high temperature metal alloy wire that is drapable allows for the creation of near net-shape preforms at production level speed. Additionally, ceramic insulation can also be integrated concurrently to provide increased thermal protection. The metal alloy knit fabrics described herein overcome the limitations of current welded stainless steel mesh seal coverings by providing coverings that withstand higher operational temperatures than stainless steel, are wear and snag resistant, can be a separate seal layer or as a portion of an integrated seal construction, can accommodate tight curvature changes to achieve complex shapes without wrinkling or buckling, and can be joined in the knitting process, sewed or mechanically fastened, without the need for welding.

CIRCULAR KNITTED TUBULAR STRUCTURE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD AND MANUFACTURING DEVICE OF THE SAME

A circular knitted tubular structure manufactured at low cost with use of a circular knitting machine is highly adaptable to bending due to flexibility, having tube inner and outer surfaces so soft that no abnormal noise is produced, and hence useful as a sleeve covering and thereby protecting a cable, such as an electrical wire and an optical fiber cable. The circular knitted tubular structure is formed of a fabric tape formed of circular knitted fabric having front yarn forming loops and back yarn having a higher heat shrinkage ratio than the front yarn and formed into a scrolled shape by letting the back yarn undergo heat shrinkage to have an overlap portion circumferentially overlapping 1.3 to 2.5 times. Apparatus for manufacturing the circular knitted tubular structure includes a furnace and a shape-forming jig.

YARN AND GLAND PACKING

A yarn includes elongated pieces of expanded graphite sheet and a tubular member made of knitted or braided fibers. In the tubular member, the pieces of expanded graphite sheet are twisted and packed. The yarns are knitted, or bundles of the yarns are twisted to form a gland packing.

Toy knitting device

Embodiments of the invention are directed to a toy knitting device and a knitting kit including the toy knitting device and a breakaway clasp. The knitting device comprises a knitting body having an interior chamber in which a needle holder is rotatably coupled to the knitting device. The needle holder comprises a plurality of needles configured to move up and down the side of the needle holder as the needle holder rotates to grasp a knitting strand being fed into the interior chamber of the knitting body. The needle holder rotates by a plurality of engaged gears coupled to either an automated motor for automated rotation or a hand knob or crank for manual rotation. The needle holder comprises a center aperture through which the knitted product that is configured to receive an embellishment to be embedded within a hollow interior of the knitted product is inserted.

Inflatable structural member

A structural member includes an inflatable bladder. The structural member may include a fabric shell disposed about an exterior surface of the bladder, or a spacer element attached to an interior surface of the bladder. The fabric shell or spacer element restrains the shape of the bladder to contour the bladder into a desired shape and increase the load carrying capacity of the bladder.

MANUFACTURED TO SHAPE HEADGEAR AND MASKS

A headgear or headgear segments are manufactured to shape thereby producing little or no waste material. Techniques such as knitting, braiding, crocheting, and 3D printing can be used produce the headgear.

Insert made of a textile fabric

The disclosure relates to an insert (5) made of a textile fabric for being received in a jacket wall of a cylindrical case (6) made of a combustible, felted fibrous material, wherein in particular embodiments the textile fabric includes one, several, or a plurality of yarns which along a longitudinal direction (L) of the insert form a plurality of mesh rows (18) which each include a plurality of meshes (19, 20, 21) that extend in a circumferential direction (U) of the insert.

Manufactured to shape headgear and masks

A headgear or headgear segments are manufactured to shape thereby producing little or no waste material. Techniques such as knitting, braiding, crocheting, and 3D printing can be used produce the headgear.

A knitted component may include an adjustable tensioning cable and a knitted component forming at least a portion of an exterior surface of an upper. The knitted component may include at least one knit anchor having an channel for receiving the tensioning cable, where the tensioning cable extends through the channel, and where the channel of the at least one anchor extends along an arc.

Sealing material composition and gland packing containing the sealing material composition

A sealing material composition which comprises sheet-like members containing expanded graphite, and which hardly causes the sheet-like members to be broken is provided. A sealing material composition 1 comprises: a stacked body 5; and a long surrounding body 6 which surrounds the stacked body. The stacked body has a plurality of sheet-like members 10 each of which is formed into a tape-like shape by expanded graphite. In the stacked body, the plurality of sheet-like members are stacked in a direction which intersects with the longitudinal direction of the surrounding body, and, in the plurality of sheet-like members, sheet-like members which are adjacent to each other in the stacking direction are disposed to be displaced from each other in the longitudinal direction of the surrounding body, in a relatively movable manner. The surrounding body allows the adjacent sheet-like members to be relatively moved in the longitudinal direction of the surrounding body, while maintaining the stacked state of the adjacent sheet-like members.
