Yarn carrier device with yarn tension control function for flat knitting machine, and yarn tension control method

This application relates to a yarn carrier device with a yarn tension control function for a flat knitting machine, and a yarn tension control method. At the moment a carriage is connected to a yarn carrier device, a fixing frame carrying a bobbin ascends or descends on sliding rails installed on the yarn carrier device. The ascending or descending speed, time and distance of the fixing frame can be calculated directly according to a yarn carrier stop, the quantity of an unknitted portion of the yarn and the speed of the carriage. When the carriage contacts a yarn carrier, the fixing frame is controlled to ascend along the sliding rails. When the carriage drives the yarn carrier to enter a knitting area, the fixing frame is controlled to descend.

The machine for making an upper for a shoe comprises a reel holder rack, a dial and a sinker crown, a needle cylinder with a vertical axis and forward and backward movement having a plurality of grooves, inside of which the (needles) are slidable, controlled by selection means thereof, a cup element, at least four feeders assembled along the circumference of the machine, guide means, first braking means, first recovery means for recovering each of the threads to be fed to said needles for forming the upper and a suction bell for unloading said upper, below said first braking means at least second braking means being present for braking or locking each thread for the formation of said upper during at least the first part of the return movement of said needle holder cylinder and second recovery means for recovering said thread from said cylinder, preventing its recovery by a reel of said reels, said second braking means being activated and deactivated by said second recovery means.

Yarn tensioning device

A yarn tensioning device capable of delivering yarn under tension from a spool to a braiding, weaving or knitting machine consisting of a base and a center rod mounted perpendicular to the said base serving to locates the spool while allowing it to pivotally rotate. The device further includes a pawl jointed to the base either via a pin joint or via a flexural hinge and operates in conjunction with a ratchet solidly attached to the spool. The device further includes a compliant yarn guiding means which ensure that yarn reels off at an essentially constant tension. The yarn reel-off tension can be adjusted by modifying the operating length of a stiffening spring using a screw and jam-nut pair, and by limiting the maximum deflection of the compliant yarn guiding means.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING KNITTED FABRIC

Knitted fabric is produced with a knitting machine and a roving drawing and strengthening unit. A roving supply unit provides a roving and an auxiliary thread supply unit provides an auxiliary thread. A stretching unit receives the roving and the auxiliary thread. A spinning nozzle following the stretching unit in a roving conveying direction forms a fiber strengthening segment by applying compressed air and an end thread gripping roller pair rotatable in opposite directions provided downstream from the spinning nozzle device in the roving conveying direction delimiting the fiber strengthening segment. A soft knitted fabric is formed by guiding an auxiliary thread through an auxiliary thread gripping roller pair with an adjustable rotational speed before the roving and auxiliary thread enter the stretching unit. The gripping roller pair holds the auxiliary thread so that the auxiliary thread is subjected to tension of no more than 2 cN.

Method and system for managing and controlling feeding of at least one thread to a textile machine as a function of the machine operating step in product production or thread processing, such production or processing providing for a succession of steps corresponding to obtaining product parts or treating thread. The thread fed to the machine by a feeder at constant tension and/or speed and/or controlled by a sensor which monitors sliding or inherent characteristic thereof such as tension, speed, diameter, quantity and color. The sensor and/or feeder being controlled by a setting controller. The setting controller receiving synchronization signals from the machine and detectingaccording to the latterthe operating steps and thus product or production status. The operation setting programmed as a function of operating steps. The machine generates a unique synchronization signal, for each operating step, independently from step length.

DYNAMIC FEEDING SYSTEMS FOR KNITTING MACHINES

Systems and methods are provided for feeding thread at a knitting machine. One embodiment is a thread feeding device which includes a spool that supplies thread to a knitting device through a thread path and a motor that drives the spool. The device and further includes a mobile guide in the thread path that changes position due to changes in thread tension as the knitting device draws thread through the mobile guide. The thread feeding device also includes a sensor that measures a change in position of the mobile guide, and a controller that determines an amount of tension applied to the thread by the knitting device based on the change in position, and adjusts a speed of a motor that drives the spool based on the amount of tension.
