Yarn carrier device with yarn tension control function for flat knitting machine, and yarn tension control method
This application relates to a yarn carrier device with a yarn tension control function for a flat knitting machine, and a yarn tension control method. At the moment a carriage is connected to a yarn carrier device, a fixing frame carrying a bobbin ascends or descends on sliding rails installed on the yarn carrier device. The ascending or descending speed, time and distance of the fixing frame can be calculated directly according to a yarn carrier stop, the quantity of an unknitted portion of the yarn and the speed of the carriage. When the carriage contacts a yarn carrier, the fixing frame is controlled to ascend along the sliding rails. When the carriage drives the yarn carrier to enter a knitting area, the fixing frame is controlled to descend.

Process for production of knitted articles
A process for production of knitted articles is disclosed. The process may be performed using, for example, a linear knitting machine including a first needle bed, a second needle bed, a first jacquard bar with odd thread guides, a second jacquard bar with even thread guides, a third jacquard bar with odd thread guides, and a fourth jacquard bar with even thread guides. The process includes producing at least a portion of a knitted article by means of a base movement of the jacquard bars, in which: the first and the third jacquard bar are each moved with an identical shog movement; the second and the fourth jacquard bar are moved with a respective shog movement identical to one another; and the second and the fourth jacquard bar are moved with a respective shog movement identical to one another.

Tensioning device
Aspects herein are directed to a tensioning device for a strand on a knitting machine. The tensioning device includes a mounting plate that may be positioned between a strand source and a feeder bar. The mounting plate supports a first pulley, a second pulley and a weighted third pulley that is movable with respect to the first pulley and the second pulley. By routing a strand over the first pulley, under the third pulley and over the second pulley, additional tension may be added to the strand through the weight of the third pulley.
