20190276958 · 2019-09-12 ·

Disclosed is water-disintegrable nonwoven fabric which comprises 15-30 mass % regenerated cellulose fibers having a fiber length of 3-4 mm and a fineness of 0.3 dtex or less and 70-85 mass % pulp, has a basis weight of 35-50 g/m.sup.2, has a tendency to disentanglement of 100 seconds or less when examined by a disentanglement test according to JIS P 4501:1993, and has a wet tensile strength of 1.2 N/25 mm or greater. The water-disintegrable nonwoven fabric combines wet tensile strength during use with water disintegrability after use.

POLYSACCHARIDE FIBERS AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF

The present invention relates to a method for the production of polysaccharide fibers which, as a fiber-forming substance, comprise a mixture of cellulose and (1.fwdarw.3)-glucan, as well as to the fibers made thereof and to their use.

IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO THE COLD-ALKALI PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF REGENERATED CELLULOSIC FIBERS

A method and a production facility for producing regenerated cellulosic fibers. A spinning solution is extruded into a coagulation bath which contains a salt and preferably an alkali. The spinning solution comprises cellulose dissolved in an aqueous solvent comprising NaOH and ZnO and the coagulation bath has a pH-value of at least seven. The processing facility comprises a cutter to cut the fiber tow in an undried state into cut fibers, a fleece-forming device for suspending the cut fibers and collecting them in form of a non-woven fiber layer, and at least on pressing device for pressing the non-woven fiber layer, thereby imposing a natural crimp on the fibers.
