20220010464 · 2022-01-13 ·

A method for recycling a nonwoven fabric, including: a waste nonwoven fabric pulverization step of pulverizing a waste nonwoven fabric to obtain pulverized waste nonwoven fabric particles; a material mixing step of dispersing and mixing the pulverized nonwoven fabric particles and a filler in water to obtain a nonwoven fabric mixture; a raw material mixing step of adding a fixing agent for agglomeration of the pulverized waste nonwoven fabric particles and the filler to the nonwoven fabric mixture, followed by mixing, to form a raw material; a draining step of separating and removing water from the raw material to form a recycled nonwoven fabric sheet; a first lamination step of laminating the plurality of recycled nonwoven fabric sheets to form a laminate; and a compressing/dehydrating step of compressing and dehydrating the laminate.

An apparatus for manufacturing an absorbent core includes: a dispenser for dispensing a fiber; a fiber-stacking drum for stacking the dispensed fiber on the outer circumferential surface while sucking the fiber toward an inside; and a fixed frame for rotatably supporting the fiber-stacking drum. The fiber-stacking drum includes: a rotation shaft; a wheel attached to the distal end of the rotation shaft; and a fiber-stacking ring provided on an outer circumference portion of the wheel for stacking the fiber A suction chamber is fixed to the fixed frame The suction chamber is arranged on an inner side of the fiber-stacking ring and produces a suction force toward an inner circumference of the fiber-stacking ring. The fiber-stacking drum is supported by the fixed frame so as to be slidable in an axial direction of the rotation shaft; and the wheel is removably attached to the distal end of the rotation shaft via a fastener.

WATER-DISPERSIBLE ARTICLE INCLUDING WATER-DISPERSIBLE CORE CONSTRUCTION

An article for cleaning or hand-washing an object includes a core substrate comprising a plurality of fibers including a resin. The core substrate has one or more abrasive surfaces and contains an active cleaning formulation. The resin and the core substrate are water-dispersible upon contact with water at a low temperature, such as 40° C. or below, and water-soluble upon contact with water at a higher temperature. Also disclosed are methods for making the article.

Multi-component fibers with improved inter-component adhesion

Nonwoven fabrics are provided that include at least a first nonwoven layer. The first nonwoven layer includes multi-component fibers densely arranged and compacted against one another. The multi-component fibers comprise at least a first component comprising a first polymeric material including a first polyolefin and a second component comprising a second polymeric material including a second polyolefin, in which the first polymeric material is different than the second polymeric material. The first polymeric material, the second polymeric material, or both include a compatibilizer comprising a copolymer having a comonomer content including (i) at least 10% by weight of the compatibilizer of a first monomer corresponding to the first polyolefin and (ii) at least 10% by weight of the compatibilizer of a second monomer corresponding to the second polyolefin.

Systems and methods for formation and harvesting of nanofibrous materials

A system that receives nanomaterials, forms nanofibrous materials therefrom, and collects these nanofibrous materials for subsequent applications. The system is coupled to a chamber that generates nanomaterials, typically carbon nanotubes produced from chemical vapor deposition, and includes a mechanism for spinning the nanotubes into yarns or tows. Alternatively, the system includes a mechanism for forming non-woven sheets from the nanotubes. The system also includes components for collecting the formed nanofibrous materials. Methods for forming and collecting the nanofibrous materials are also provided.
