Lapping machine drive

A high speed vertical textile lapper has a comb reciprocated by a first motor and a presser bar reciprocated by a second motor, both motors being under a common servo motor control. The linear comb is reciprocated by a comb crankshaft in a crankcase while the presser bar is reciprocated by a bar crankshaft in order to deposit a lapped web onto a horizontal conveyor which sends the web through an oven where some of the web fibers fuse to adhere the finished web. The incoming web to be plated is carried to the lapping zone by a combination of horizontal and vertical conveyors. These feed the descending web close to the lapping zone. The comb crankcase has pressurized lubrication and external cooling. The servo control permits PLC synchronization.

Dash Isolation Pad

An embodiment dash isolation pad includes a 3D vertical nonwoven fabric layer having a structure in which wave-type short fibers are vertically arranged, a sound absorption layer on one side or both sides of the 3D vertical nonwoven fabric layer, and an olefin-based powder layer between the 3D vertical nonwoven fabric layer and the sound absorption layer.

SYSTEM FOR THE BONDING OF AT LEAST ONE WET-LAID OR DRY-LAID FIBER LAYER
20220307173 · 2022-09-29 · ·

A system for bonding at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer to form a nonwoven web. The system includes a conveyor having a circulating belt which has an upper strand arranged so that the at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer is deposited and displaced on the upper strand in a production direction, a first bonding device which bonds the at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer when on the upper strand, a second bonding device arranged so that the at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer is bonded after leaving the upper strand, and a transfer device which feeds the at least one wet-laid or dry-laid fiber layer to the second bonding device.

SYSTEM FOR BONDING LAYERS COMPRISING FIBERS TO FORM A NONWOVEN WEB

A system for bonding a first layer having short fibers with a second layer having long fibers into a nonwoven web. The system includes a belt, a headbox, a depositing belt with a delivery strand, a transfer belt with a receiving strand, a device, a pre-bonding unit, and a bonding device. The short fibers are deposited on the depositing belt to form the first layer with the headbox. The transfer belt transfers the first layer to the second layer. The pre-bonding unit has spaced-apart compacting devices which act on the transfer belt to form a lower strand of the transfer belt there between. The bonding device is arranged between the compacting devices. The bonding device bonds the first and second layers. The compacting devices and the bonding device are operatively connected to one another so that they are each always either in an operating state or in a resting state.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR BONDING LAYERS COMPRISING FIBERS TO FORM A NON-WOVEN WEB

An apparatus for bonding a first layer having short fibers with a second layer having long fibers into a non-woven web. The apparatus includes a first circulating belt on which the second layer is depositable and displacable, a second circulating belt via which the first layer is transferable at a transition point to the second layer, a pre-bonding unit arranged directly behind the transition point, and a bonding device. The pre-bonding unit has compactors which are spaced apart from one another. The compactors act in one region on the first or second circulating belt. The bonding device is arranged between the compactors and bonds together the first and second layers. The compactors and the bonding device are integrated into the apparatus to together be in an operating state when the first layer is transferred using the second circulating belt.

Fibre reinforced composites

A molding material comprising a fibrous reinforcement layer and a curable resin matrix. The fibrous reinforcement layer comprises a non-woven fabric comprising a single layer of unidirectional tows arranged at an angle greater than 0° in relation to the lengthwise direction of the fabric and a support structure for maintaining the arrangement of the tows.
