Exfoliating head with rolling elements
A skin treatment head includes treatment head surface; multiple bristles extending from the treatment head surface and defining a virtual edge face circumferentially surrounding the bristles and a virtual top face defining a first height of the bristles; and one or more rotatable elements extending from the treatment head surface and having a second height lower than the first height, such that in order to apply a tangential force to rotate the rotatable elements, the skin treatment head is tilted relative to a skin surface.
Devices and methods for guiding and applying traction to a patient's leg during surgery
A freestanding system for applying traction to a patient independent of a table or bed includes a base including a body and a stabilizer arm moveably coupled to the body, wherein the stabilizer arm has a first end pivotally coupled to the body and a second end distal the body, and wherein the stabilizer arm is configured to pivot about the corresponding first end, and a pad coupled to the second end of the stabilizer arm, wherein the pad includes a suction device configured to releasably secure the second end of the corresponding stabilizer arm to the ground, wherein the pads are configured to maintain the position of the system in response to the application of traction to the patient.
Rehabilitation device and its use for exercising the shoulder region
The invention relates to a rehabilitation device adapted for rehabilitation and/or exercise of the shoulder region, the device being provided with a frame (1), which is connected to a power-generating apparatus (2), a back part (10), a seat part (11), and armrests (21). The rehabilitation device according to the invention is characterised in that it further comprises first support arms (23), second support arms (24), and motion arms (22), which communicate with said corresponding first and second support arms. The rehabilitation device according to the invention is further characterised in that said armrests (21) are articulated in said corresponding motion arms (22), and said power-generating apparatus (2) communicates with said motion arms (22). In addition, the invention relates to the use of the rehabilitation device for exercising the shoulder region.
Head-up spinal decompression device
A spinal decompression device from which a user suspends himself with his head up, taking advantage of gravity to stretch his spine and relieve tension in his back. Two crosspieces are connected at their middle portions to form an X. Each crosspiece has an arm near the top and a foot at the bottom, all extending horizontally and perpendicularly to the crosspieces. The height of the arms and their distance apart from each other are adjustable to fit each user so that the user may control the amount of his body weight suspended between the arms during treatment, by resting his feet on the ground. The device is collapsible for easier storage. A safety strap may be connected between the lower portions of each cross piece to prevent accidental collapse of the device. Wheels may be attached to the feet to make the device easier to move.
Support devices for head up cardiopulmonary resuscitation
An elevation device used in the performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes a base and an upper support pivotably coupled to the base. The upper support is configured to elevate the individual's upper back, shoulders and head when pivoted. The upper support is expandable lengthwise. The upper support includes a neck support that is configured to support the individual's spine in a region of the individual's C7 and C8 vertebrae throughout elevation of the upper back, shoulders and head.
Exoskeleton wheelchair system
An exoskeleton wheelchair system includes a base, one or more wheels coupled to the base, a body support connected to the base comprising: a back support; and one or more leg supports pivotally coupled to the back support, and a gait wheel linked with the one or more leg supports via one or more gait linkages and configured to rotate the one or more leg supports. The one or more leg supports are configured to pivot about a first axis when the back support is in a standing position mode. The back support is maintained at a fixed position relative to a location of the base when the one or more leg supports pivot about the first axis while the back support is in the standing position mode.
Compression belt assembly for a chest compression device
A chest compression device with a chest compression belt assembly including guards and sensors operable with a control system to control operation of the system depending on detection of proper installation of the guards.
MASSAGER
Disclosed is a massager, which includes a massage cylinder and at least two vibrators. The massage cylinder is provided with a massage cavity inside, and one end of the massage cylinder is provided with an insertion port communicated with the massage cavity; and at least two vibrators are protruded from a wall of the massage cavity. The technical solution of the present application can provide a means of physical treatment to help men fight against problems such as reduced sexual function, genital erectile dysfunction.
Preloaded personal augmentation suit and method for assisted human motion
A human motion assistance device has an upper torso harness and a preloaded leg strap arrangement affixed to the upper torso harness. The preloaded leg strap arrangement has an X-bracket connected to the upper torso harness. The preloaded leg strap arrangement further uses a plurality of blocks and a preloaded strap routed through the blocks and connected to the X-bracket. The preloaded leg strap arrangement further uses a knee pad with a split seam. The preloaded strap is under tension, even when the human motion assistance device is in a relaxed state. The preloading provides an immediate force which increases under a loaded state. The potential energy stored during the loaded state is released when transitioning from a standing position to a crouched, squatting, or seated position. The configuration allows for maximizing the energy storage without putting excess shoulder pressure on the user when standing.
Foot mat
A foot mat is a mat for placing on the bottom of a bathtub or shower to prevent the user slipping and falling, and having a second and third function of vibrating to provide foot massage automatically when the user stands on the mat, and an abrasive edge such as a loofah sponge for exfoliating the contactable surfaces of the feet.
