Position indicating circuit for a foot controller of a sewing machine, and detecting system using the same
A position indicating circuit includes: first and second input terminals for respectively receiving first and second voltages; an output terminal; a first resistor; and a second resistor having a first terminal coupled to the first input terminal through the first resistor, a second terminal coupled to the second input terminal, and a third terminal coupled to the output terminal. The second resistor is used to be actuated by a pedal of a foot controller of a sewing machine such that a voltage at the output terminal has a magnitude related to a position of the pedal. A detecting system that uses the position indicating circuit and that can determine whether the foot controller is coupled to a main body of the sewing machine is also provided.
SEWING MACHINE
A sewing machine includes a bed portion, a conveyance portion, a sewing portion, an image capture portion, a projector, a processor, and a memory. The conveyance portion is configured to convey a sewing object placed on the bed portion. The memory is configured to store marker information and computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor, instruct the processor to perform processes. The processes include causing the image capture portion to perform the image capture at a predetermined timing, during a conveyance period, identifying the marker in a captured image, using the marker information stored in the memory, identifying a projection position corresponding to the identified marker, when the marker is identified, and causing the projector to project the projection image indicating the identified projection position, while following a movement of the marker on the sewing object being conveyed.

Sewing machine
A sewing machine capable of replacing a feed dog in accordance with a type of sewing, the sewing machine including a feed bar performing a horizontal motion and a vertical motion by interlocking with a feeding mechanism, a feed dog detachably mounted on the feed bar, and a control unit that identifies the feed dog mounted on the feed bar. In the sewing machine, the feed dog includes an identification member that corresponds to a type of the feed dog, the feed bar includes a sensor that detects the identification member and outputs an identification signal, and the control unit includes a feed dog identifying means that, based on the identification signal from the sensor member, identifies the type of the feed dog mounted on the feed bar.

Sewing Machine Drive
A magnetic encoder system of a sewing machine drive comprises a magnetic, magnetised disc with alternating north and south pole elements, which are used as incremental markings. The latter are designed as a full ring-incremental track, which extends around a circumference of the ferritic disc, and as an annular section incremental track, which is designed as an annular section on the ferritic disc. The result is a magnetic encoder system for a servomotor of a sewing machine.
Sewing apparatus
A sewing apparatus for applying a stitch of thread to a piece of fabric is provided. The apparatus housing includes a platform for supporting a piece of fabric, and contains a grasping member that is moved to grasp and release a thread segment fed through the housing by a needle holder. The needle holder is positioned to hold a needle that has a needle aperture for pass-through, therethrough of the thread segment, and is movable between a withdrawn position, and an advanced position in which the needle holder drives the needle through the piece of fabric to bring the thread segment into position for grasping by the grasping member. The sewing apparatus also including a needle holder driver for driving the movement of the needle holder and a thread puller for pulling the thread segment to an exterior of the housing for a user to cut.
