SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STIMULATING SWALLOWING
A device includes a first vibrational transducer and a second vibrational transducer. The first vibrational transducer has a first vibrating property. The second vibrotactile stimulator has a second vibrating property different than the first vibrating property. A collar may be configured to position the first vibrational transducer and the second vibrational transducer over a neck of a subject. A method for stimulating swallowing in a subject includes applying a first vibrotactile stimulation and applying a second vibrotactile stimulation to a throat area of the subject. The first vibrotactile stimulation has a first vibrating property and the second vibrotactile stimulation has a second vibrating property different than the first vibrating property. Example vibrating properties include vibrating frequency, vibrating frequency range, wave shape, continuousness, frequency phase, and direction of mechanical force.
HANDHELD MULTI-TIP SCRAPING AND MOXIBUSTION DEVICE
A handheld multi-tip scraping and moxibustion device, including: pushing and scraping air-guiding tips distributed on a panel each having a through-cavity;and a moxa burning chamber communicating with the through-cavity to enable heat and air in the moxa burning chamber to be discharged gradually for use through the pushing and scraping heat-conducting and air-guiding tips. The pushing and scraping air-guiding tips including a first set of pushing and scraping heat-conducting and air-guiding tips located in a middle portion of the panel and a second set of pushing and scraping heat-conducting and air-guiding tips located around the first set of pushing and scraping air-guiding tips, wherein the height of the first set of pushing and scraping heat-conducting and air-guiding tips is less than the height of the second set of pushing and scraping heat-conducting and air-guiding tips in order to form a multi-layered stepped air discharge.
Aromatherapy massage spheres
A massage device including at least one spherical ball permeated with aromatherapy is provided. A method of making and using the massage device, as well as a kit for making the massage device are also provided.
Portable relaxation therapy massage device for the head
The present invention administers fluid therapy and chromotherapy to the head of a user for stimulatory purposes. Particularly, the invention comprises a portable device for administering fluid therapy using pressurized water and/or other therapeutic fluids and/or substances to massage and relax the head and scalp of the user while simultaneously allowing the use of craniofacial chromotherapy thus providing a generally relaxing and refreshing stimulative experience for the head.
Acupressure apparatus
An acupressure apparatus including a manually adjustable head strap, with a flexible material, extending around the circumference of a user's head, and which can be manually adjusted using any of the following: a hook segment; a loop segment; a button; a buttonhole; a snap; and a snap receptacle. The acupressure apparatus includes a rigid protrusion with a rigid material formed into an essentially domed shape. The protrusion can be affixed to a point of the head strap such that the dome faces the user's glabella. When the user manually adjusts the length of the head strap, the rigid protrusion applies pressure on the user's glabella.
HEALTH CARE DEVICE AND HEALTH CARE METHOD
A health care device illustrated has a low-frequency wave emitter, a low-frequency waveguide and a plant essential oil carrier disposed between the low-frequency wave emitter and the low-frequency waveguide. The low-frequency wave emitter emits a low-frequency wave with a predetermined frequency, and the low-frequency wave firstly passes through the plant essential oil carrier, and then propagates to the low-frequency waveguide. Next, energy of the low-frequency wave is focused in the low-frequency waveguide, and then the low-frequency wave is emitted out from the low-frequency waveguide. A health care method illustrated emits the low-frequency wave with the predetermined frequency to a belly button of a user by using the health care device. The health care device and method increase contents of NAD.sup.+ in blood of the user, and achieve effects of convenient operation, accurate use position identification, and non-invasive and non-contact health care.
METHOD OF MEDICAL TREATMENT OF A PATIENT UNDER TOTAL SUBMERGENCE IN WATER COMPLETELY SURROUNDING AND AFFECTING THE PATIENT'S ORGANISM
The invention relates to a medical use of water exerting a hydrostatic pressure higher than 1.1 bar, completely surrounding and affecting a patient's organism under total submergence, for use in prophylaxis, physiotherapy, rehabilitation and therapy of disorders, defects and injuries of skeletal system, arthroskeletal system, musculoskeletal system and other body systems such as circulatory system, nervous system, immune system, as well as pain conditions, such as migraine, myalgia and neuralgia, skin diseases, fertility disorders, potency dysfunctions, as well as overweight, obesity and defects of posture. According to the invention the hydrostatic pressure of water is preferably higher than 1.2 bar, and the patient is human being. The invention is of a particular importance in rehabilitation and therapy that follows after aesthetic medicine treatment, after surgeries, after physical injuries of motor system. The solution according to the invention is advantageously used in combination with procedures of classic hydrotherapy, manual therapy, kinesitherapy or combination thereof. It is of a particular benefit to provide air, mixture of gases of a composition different to the composition of air, mixtures of air and oxygen or pure oxygen for breathing (hyperbaric oxygen therapy HBO/HBOT), while the water may be supplemented with various additives appropriate for the kind of an ailment treated, such as mineral, gaseous, herbal, antiinflammatory, antimicrobial including antibacterial additives.
Steam shower system and device
A steam shower system, includes a steam enclosure, including a front plate, a rear wall, and a steam chamber; a steam mixing valve with a steam control dial; a mixed water line; a steam nozzle assembly with a stem nozzle head; a steam vent, including a perimeter wall, including a perimeter wall and a perimeter ledge; a steam deflector; a steam barrier; a vacuum air vent, which is optionally hidden behind the steam control dial; and aromatherapy device, including an aromatherapy aperture and receptor with a container for aromatic liquid; such that the steam vent is configured to emit steam from the steam chamber.
Thermal treatment device
The present invention is directed to a reusable pain relieving treatment device, such as a belt, that comprises one or more conductive members that extend from an inner surface of the device and are capable of transferring heat, cold or vibrations from disposable or reusable packs.
Aromatherapy apparatus and housing
The present invention is an apparatus for employing aromatherapy and binaural sounds for inducing a state of relaxation in a user who may be anxious, upset, or experiencing sleeping difficulties. The apparatus comprises a shape memory foam pillow, a pair of stereo speakers, an aromatherapy diffuser, a pillowcase comprised of heat-transfer fabric, an optional vibrating device, a canopy and a housing to support these elements. The user connects a smartphone or digital audio device to the speakers, activates the aromatherapy diffuser and the vibrating device, and lays his or her head down on the pillow beneath the canopy. Ideally, the smartphone or music device should have a meditation or binaural sound application, which would be tuned to a specific beat frequency, such as 10 Hertz. The combined action of essential oil vapors and binaural sounds should enable the user to relax or sleep more soundly.
