CHENILLE CARPET AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
A chenille carpet and a preparation method therefor. The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, using a chenille yarn for tufting a base fabric layer (2) to form a carpet layer (1) on one side of the base fabric layer (2), so as to prepare a carpet blank; S2, placing the carpet blank in step S1 into a ball rolling machine for heating, rolling, turning, steam softening treatment and natural cooling; and S3, subjecting the carpet prepared in step S2 to bottom covering processing. The preparation method has the advantages of low water consumption, low energy consumption, being time saving and being environmentally friendly, and the prepared chenille carpet has good fluffiness and fullness.
Composite material and carpet composition comprising same
Disclosed is composite comprising four layers, two of the layers is a polymer film and two of the layers are non-woven materials, that is suitable for use as a primary backing material and/or a secondary backing material in the manufacture of textile carpet compositions. Also disclosed is a method for making the disclosed composite.
WATER PERMEABLE ARTIFICIAL TURF AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
The invention comprises a method. The method comprises applying to a primary backing and loop backs of a tufted synthetic turf a plurality of solid polymer particles having a particle size less than or equal to 1,000 microns such that a layer of solid polymer particles is formed across the width and length of the primary backing, wherein the polymer particles are applied to the primary backing at a rate of approximately 10 to approximately 18 ounces of polymer per square yard and wherein the solid polymer particles are thermoplastic polymer particles or a mixture of thermoplastic polymer particles and thermosetting polymer particles. The method also comprises heating the polymer particles on the primary backing and loop backs to a temperature at or above the melting temperature of the polymer particles and allowing the heated polymer particles to cool below their melting temperature wherein the tufted synthetic turf has bundle lock of at least 6.8 pounds and the tufted synthetic turf has a water permeability of at least 10 inches of water per hour.
Combined yarn carpet improvements
Different combining techniques are employed for directing multiple yarns through a single needle of a tufting machine. Different aesthetic appearances be achieved which provide for many new design opportunities in the marketplace.
Tufted structure for landscape and sports
The present invention seeks to provide a tufted structure such as an artificial turf, that imitates more closely the root zone, the volume effect, and density of natural grass and that has an improved wear and drainage property. An artificial turf adapted for use in landscape and sports applications comprises a bounded layer of fibers formed as a non-woven matting made of one or more natural and/or synthetic fibers. A plurality of tufts of pile yarn is inserted through the bounded layer of fibers. A backing is applied at the backside of the bounded layer of fibers enhancing anchoring the tufts to the bounded layer of fibers.
STITCH BONDED CLEANING PAD WITH VARIABLE HEIGHT LOOP ELEMENTS
A disposable cleaning pad of stitch-bonded construction adapted to be affixed to a mop head for manipulation across a surface to be cleaned. The cleaning pad includes a sorbent stitching substrate of fleece in layered relation with at least one support layer. A first yarn feed and a second yarn feed are in stitched relation through a stitched portion of the stitching substrate. The first yam feed forms a first loop collection, and the second yarn feed forms a second loop collection. The second loop collection covers a smaller area than the first loop collection and defines a predefined pattern within the stitched portion of the stitching substrate. The second loop collection has an average pile height greater than the first loop collection.
Two Part Floor Covering
A two part floor covering useful for entranceway is provided having a mat overlaying a base. A fastening system incorporating a mushroom-type fastener is provided, whereby the mat can be laid on the base and positioned as desired, without the fastening system engaging. When the mat is aligned with the base, downward pressure on the mat engages the fastening system and restricts the mat from slipping laterally or lifting vertically. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.
WATER PERMEABLE ARTIFICIAL TURF AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
The invention comprises a method. The method comprises applying to a primary backing and loop backs of a tufted synthetic turf a plurality of solid polymer particles having a particle size less than or equal to 1,000 microns such that a layer of solid polymer particles is formed across the width and length of the primary backing, wherein the polymer particles are applied to the primary backing at a rate of approximately 5 to approximately 18 ounces of polymer per square yard and wherein the solid polymer particles are thermoplastic polymer particles or a mixture of thermoplastic polymer particles and thermosetting polymer particles.
PRIMARY BASE FABRIC FOR TUFTED CARPET, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
A primary base fabric for a tufted carpet includes a first non-woven web and a second non-woven web laminated on each other. The first non-woven web is constituted with a first constituent fiber formed with a first thermoplastic resin and containing carbon. The second non-woven web is constituted with a second constituent fiber formed with a second thermoplastic resin and having a carbon content lower than the carbon content of the first constituent fiber or containing no carbon. The primary base fabric is a product prepared by combining the first non-woven web and the second non-woven web through an emboss processing.
Recyclable artificial turf and HDPE backing layer for recyclable artificial turf
The present invention relates to a polyethylene backing layer for an artificial turf substrate consisting essentially of highly oriented, high density polyethylene filaments forming warp and weft threads, the high density polyethylene filaments having a density of at least 945 kg/m.sup.3 and a melt flow index of maximum 2 g/10 min. The invention further relates to filaments for making such a backing layer, a method for producing such filaments and an artificial turf substrate including such a backing layer.
