System, nozzle and method for coating elastic strands
A method of contact coating at least one elastic strand with an adhesive is disclosed. A first strand has a periphery with an upper surface. The first strand is moved in a machine direction relative to a contact nozzle, the adhesive is discharged from the contact nozzle into contact with the upper surface of the first strand, and pressurized air is discharged at the adhesive on the first strand to cause the adhesive to spread around the periphery of the first strand without blowing adhesive off the first strand.
Dispenser for Thread Treatment Compound
A thread conditioner dispenser is provided as well as a method of conditioning thread. The dispenser has a base with two longitudinally extending sidewalls attached which are joined by two transverse sidewalls. A receptacle for thread conditioning compound is defined interior thereto. Notches are formed in each transverse sidewall. The point on each notch closest to the base defines a saddle point. An adhesive layer is attached to the base such that the dispenser may be removably attached to a solid surface. Thread may be passed through one of the notches and withdrawn through the opposed notch.
System, nozzle and method for coating elastic strands
A contact nozzle for coating an elastic strand with an adhesive. Air is discharged at the adhesive in contact with the strand, causing the adhesive to spread around the periphery of the strand. The air assists with release of the adhesive from the nozzle and also cleans the nozzle to discourage adhesive build-up on the nozzle.
Automatically Color Mix Dyeing Process
An automatic color mix dyeing process includes activating an automatic shaping device to shape an undyed object as a cylinder and tightening same; conveying the undyed object to a dyeing apparatus by means of spraying wherein the dyeing apparatus includes rows of spray devices, dye containers for containing dyes of different colors, each dye container being in fluid communication with the row of spray devices, a pump for moving the dyes in the dye containers to the rows of spray devices, and a control device for controlling the rows of spray devices to control a spray sequence, a spray time, and a spray quantity of dye; conveying the dyed object from the dyeing apparatus to a vapor device for color fixing wherein the dyed object is impregnated with hot vapor to obtain a finished object; cutting the tie ropes; and conveying, washing and drying the finished object.
Dispenser for thread treatment compound
A thread conditioner dispenser is provided as well as a method of conditioning thread. The dispenser has a storage and dispensing unit and a cap unit. The storage/dispensing unit has multiple resilient plinths and a generally planar base defining a cavity. Notches are defined between the plinths. Multiple linear channels are defined in the base. One channel connects each notch with a diametrically opposed notch. The plinths define a cylindrical sidewall. The cap has a cylindrical sidewall defining an outwardly flaring mouth to engage the plinths. One of the cap inner sidewall and the storage/dispensing sidewall has an annular recess. At least one lug is formed into the other sidewall for engagement with the annular recess. Thread may be passed through one of the notches and into one of the channels and withdrawn through the diametrically opposed notch while the cap sidewall is engaged with the storage and dispensing sidewall.
Apparatus and method for washing an elongate textile article
Apparatus and method for washing an elongate textile article of extended indeterminate length utilizes a containment structure defining a channel extending upwardly from a lower end to an upper end thereof, with a plurality of undulations spaced-apart from one another within the channel between the lower and upper ends thereof, each undulation extending transversely across the channel. A portion of the lengthwise extent of the traveling textile article is advanced transiently within the channel upwardly from the lower end to the upward end and across the undulations, while a substantially continuous supply of cleansing liquid enters the channel at the upper end to flow downwardly against the upwardly traveling portion of the textile article for cleansing thereof.
Acoustic-Assisted Heat and Mass Transfer Device
An acoustic energy-transfer system includes: an acoustic chest arranged circumferentially around a container configured to receive a material to be processed; and an ultrasonic transducer arranged circumferentially inside the acoustic chest, the ultrasonic transducer defining an acoustic slot extending through the ultrasonic transducer, the acoustic slot angled with respect to a central axis of the acoustic chest.
Acoustic-assisted heat and mass transfer device
An acoustic energy-transfer apparatus including: an acoustic chest, the acoustic chest defining an inner chamber sized to receive a material to be processed; and an acoustic device positioned within the acoustic chest and oriented to direct acoustic energy towards the material to be processed. A method for drying a material, the method including: positioning a material in an acoustic chest including an acoustic device; and directing acoustically energized air from the acoustic device at the material within the acoustic chest.
Device for oiling a moving yarn
A device for oiling a moving yarn includes a controller, a housing, an oil port provided in the housing, and a dosing pump arranged in the housing. A yarn guiding device with an oil transfer element is mounted in the housing. The oil transfer element is connected to the oil port by an oil feed channel via the dosing pump. A closure element and a flow sensor are provided in the oil feed channel. The oil feed channel has a first portion from the oil port to the dosing pump, a second portion from the dosing pump to the closure element, and a third portion from the closure element to the oil transfer element. The flow sensor is provided in the second portion of the oil feed channel.
