Electret webs with charge-enhancing additives

Electret webs include a thermoplastic resin and a charge-enhancing additive. The charge-enhancing additive is a fused aromatic thiourea, a fused aromatic urea compound, or a combination thereof. The change-enhancing additive may also include a hindered amine light stabilizer compound. The electret webs may be a non-woven fibrous web or a film. The electret webs are suitable for use as filter media.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CLEANING FABRIC
20240229341 · 2024-07-11 ·

An apparatus for cleaning a fabric article includes an emitting header that emits fluid towards the fabric article and a suction header that suctions the fluid emitted by the emitting header. The suction header and the emitting header are parallel to each other and separated from each other by a space. The space is configured for positioning the fabric article in the space so that fluid emitted by the emitting header flows through the fabric article towards the suction header. A washing appliance for cleaning a fabric article includes a detergent compartment, a control system monitor, a pump, a water compartment, an emitting header that emits fluid towards the fabric article, a suction header that suctions the fluid emitted by the emitting header, a screen disposed between the emitting header and the suction header, and a servo motor in communication with at least one of the emitting header and the suction header.

INFILTRATION AND RINSE DEVICE OF CONVEYOR-DRIVEN FABRIC DYEING MACHINE
20190032258 · 2019-01-31 ·

A conveyor-driven fabric dyeing machine includes an infiltration and rinse device. Fabric is driven by a conveyor inside a machine body of the dyeing machine and has an extremely low liquid content rate due to separation of fabric, particularly hydrophobic fabric, and liquid. The fabric might get rubbed and damaged and affected in respect of dyeing homogeneity and reduction and cleaning. Quality of the fabric may also be affected by contaminants present inside the machine body. The infiltration and rinse device includes one or multiple spraying devices mounted inside the machine body at a suitable site to receive and jet and spray a pressurized dye liquid or clear water supplied from a pump onto the fabric or the interior space of the machine body to increase a moisten degree of the fabric and also to rinse the fabric and cleanse the interior of the machine body.

Device and method for thermal bonding of a textile web

The invention relates to a device and a method for the bonding of a textile web, whereby the textile web is guided over an idler drum into a bonding plant, led around a through-air drum and over a cooling drum and then led out again, whereby heated fresh air flows through the web and the through-air drum and the exhaust air is extracted from the bonding plant. According to the invention, it is intended that cooling air is directed onto the web ahead of the detachment point of the web from the through-air drum onto the web.

Methods and systems to dye textile materials with dye blend compositions having differential dye exhaust rates

Processes and apparatus for dyeing a textile product are provided whereby an undyed textile product is introduced into a substantially anaerobic dyeing chamber having an oxygen content of less than 1000 ppm oxygen therein, and at least two dye mixtures having a differential dye exhaustion rate of at least 10% are applied onto the textile product within the substantially anaerobic dying chamber. Thereafter the dyed textile product may be exposed to an oxygen-containing atmosphere so as to oxidize the applied dyes. At least one of the dyes may have a dye exhaustion rate of at least about 25%, or even at least about 50%. The embodiments herein are especially adapted to dyeing of textile products whereby one dye in the at least two dye mixtures is a sulfur dye and another dye in the at least two dye mixtures is a leuco indigo dye.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INCREASING COLOURFASTNESS

A method for improving the colourfastness of a dyed textile is provided. The method comprises the steps of: conveying a dyed textile along a processing line in a first direction; flowing a fluid from a reservoir through the dyed textile on the processing line in a second directly substantially opposite to the first direction; subsequently removing at least 50% of the applied fluid from the dyed textile; removing contaminants from the fluid; and returning the fluid to the reservoir.

Equipment and processes for the application of atomized fluid to a web substrate

An apparatus for the application of atomized fluid to a web material having a first surface and a second surface opposed thereto is disclosed. The apparatus is provided with a fluid source disposed adjacent to the first surface of the web material and a receipt plenum disposed adjacent to the second surface of the web material. The receipt plenum provides a source of negative pressure to the second surface of the web material. A fluid disposed from the fluid source contacts the first surface of the web material and is caused to traverse therethrough by the source of negative pressure. A portion of the fluid contacting the first surface of the web material is contained by the receipt plenum.
