Embodiments of the improved stimulation device include a cup and a driver. The cup has a cavity surrounded by a rim. The driver comprises a plate disposed on an underside of the cup, a cam disposed adjacent to the plate, and a motor mechanically coupled to the cam. The driver is configured to intermittently vary a volume of the cavity of the cup from a first volume to a second volume without returning the cup from the second volume to the first volume. In some embodiments, the cup returns from the second volume to the first volume, in between intermittent varying from the first volume to the second volume, due to the resilient nature of the material of the cup and/or the configuration of the cup. This varying of the volume between the first and second volumes creates a pressure field in a chamber formed by the cavity and a user's skin.

The joint unit is a universal joint and is connected between the palm orthosis body and the forearm orthosis body. The palm orthosis body can be turned an angle relative to the forearm orthosis body through actuation of the joint unit according to the bending degree of a user's wrist joint. A tension adjustment unit includes elastic members connected to the finger support rods and the thumb support rod. According to the different stretching tensions required by the fingers or the thumb for rehabilitation, the respective lengths of the other ends of the elastic members to be pressed by a fixing seat are adjustable, so as to adjust different stretching tensions.

The present invention is directed to an autonomous exoskeleton device that includes one or more actuators, one or more controllers, one or more sensors with one or more unidirectional transmissions. The present invention provides a mechanical joint in parallel with a biological joint. The exoskeleton device preferably includes and electric motor and winch, chain, belt, cam transmission or other mechanism for providing unidirectional force to assist rotation about the biologic joint. Moreover, a controller, a motor angle sensor, joint angle sensor and/or force sensor may be used for additional control and monitoring of the device. The motor may be any type of motor, but is preferably brushless in configuration where its diameter is larger than its length to provide a compact and lightweight exoskeleton device.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to an improved stimulation device. Embodiments of the improved stimulation device includes a cup and a driver. The cup has a cavity surrounded by a rim. The driver comprises a plate disposed on an underside of the cup, a cam disposed adjacent to the plate, and a motor mechanically coupled to the cam. The driver comprises a cam pin affixed to the cam, and a bearing rotatably disposed on the cam pin. The bearing is mechanically coupled to a lifter. The lifter is mechanically coupled to a linear bearing, enabling a smooth reciprocating back-and-forth motion from the rotation of the motor. A top of the cup swells and unswells during an operation cycle of the driver.
