TILTING MOBILITY SCOOTER DEVICE
20200306120 · 2020-10-01 ·

Techniques are disclosed to enable a mobility device for a child with gross motor disabilities. The mobility device has a curved base platform of substantially rigid material having a chest support end, with sides attached to the base platform protruding up to form a cavity in the base platform to support the child's body. It also has two wheels rotatably attached to the base platform, the wheels bearing a majority of the child's weight, the wheels positioned sufficiently behind the chest support end so that the device tilts upward when the child pushes down with its arms, thereby lifting up the chest support end so that the child may crawl with assistance of the mobility device. Furthermore, the device has straps for securing the child in the cavity at the surface of the base platform.

An apparatus (10) for the rehabilitation, assistance and/or augmentation of arm strength in a user (U) comprises a support arrangement (12) for supporting the apparatus (10) on the user (U), a linkage arrangement (14) coupled to the support arrangement (12) and for coupling to an arm (A) of the user (U), and an actuation arrangement (16) for operating the linkage arrangement (14) and thereby manipulating the user's arm (A) in response to a user input signal.

FULL BODY ROBOTIC MASSAGE SYSTEMS AND METHODS BODY STRETCHING
20200281806 · 2020-09-10 · ·

A massage chair includes a back massage system and a thigh massage system with a roller mechanism configured to move a roller in a three dimensional orbital motion. The roller mechanism is driven by a single motor that can change the direction in operation. Also included is a roller motion drive element within the roller mechanism. A shaft is configured to pass through the roller motion drive element in an offset non-perpendicular angle relative to the end face thereby forming an angle between the shaft and the end face that is less than 85 degrees. The offset causes the orbital motion of the roller when rotated. The electronics of the massage chair facilitate facial recognition and a medical assessment device to detect bodily characteristics. The backrest of the massage chair can elongate to stretch the user. A plurality of airbags are also available for the twisting of the user.

THERAPEUTIC DEVICE FOR TREATMENT OF CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE SINUSES, NASAL CAVITIES, EAR, NOSE AND THROAT

A rechargeable therapeutic system for treating conditions of a user's nasal cavities, sinuses or ear canals includes a therapeutic device having a housing that includes an inlet that allows air to enter the therapeutic device. An acoustic vibrator located within the housing provides an acoustic vibration to the user, and a power supply located within the housing provides power to the acoustic vibrator. A mask is connected to the housing and configured to be applied around the nose of the user. A valve of the mask is configured to allow the user to breathe through the inlet. The mask further includes a diaphragm and a nasal cavity in which the user's nose is located when the mask is applied around the nose of the user. A recharging station is configured to provide a charging current to the power supply.

Apparatus for motor rehabilitation of upper and lower limbs
10709923 · 2020-07-14 ·

An apparatus for the motor rehabilitation of the upper and lower limbs is disclosed, which is compact, portable, lightweight, and easy to transport. The apparatus has an adapter for the distal end of the patient's limb, a robotic arm, a gear system, two motors, and virtual and/or augmented reality software to interact with the patient. A management and control system makes possible the execution of movements and exercises in the three-dimensional space so that patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, muscular, rheumatic, motor and/or cognitive diseases or injuries and patients in post-surgical recovery may exercise and recover the movements of their upper and/or lower limbs. The equipment may also be used for the purpose of training and physical fitness.

POWER ASSIST SUIT

A power assist suit includes a harness worn at least around hips of a wearer, an assist unit, a power unit, and a bearing roller. The assist unit includes an arm and a thigh-worn part. A rail is provided at a part of the arm in a longitudinal direction. The rail includes channel-shaped parts extending along the longitudinal direction. The thigh-worn part is connected to sliding movable parts or integrated with at least a portion of the sliding movable parts.
